  1. I knew of things like that all over the wilderness, but there's really not enough detail to say whether that's a Dragonkin or not. It very well could be, but at this point all we know is it was a thing with wings.

No offense Psycho, but the examine is "Could this have been one of the ancient dragonkin?" Seems like Jagex is hinting...

  2. if you smelt iron turn them into iron knives, they sell

Ok, thanks. So the iron ore will cost me 865k and the RoFs will cost me 67k which brings the total cost to 932k. By selling the iron knives I will make 1.4m. ::' Xp and profit, thanks guys.

  3. A good way would be to smith iron ore into bars with the ring of forging. If you happen to have a pair of brawling gloves (smithing), you can get a lot of experience fast. You can make mithril bars into mithril bolts(unfinsihed) on a p2p world. If you don;t want to risk much, you can always head over to Stealing Creation and get a few hammers after playing the minigame. You can use those and smith mithril bolts(u) as well. Now, if you want to risk something, get a few SC hammers and use brawling gloves (smithing) at a wilderness anvil on a PVP world. THat is like 8X normal experience for a short time.

SC is the reason I'm getting 60 smithing. :D I think I might use the iron + RoF idea. Just one question. Would the iron bars sell afterward? I don't want to drain 800k and get nothing back. I've calculated that I'd get around 2m back if they sell. (including RoF prices)

So you want everyone to be able to own full dragon and a part hat for 5gp? :wall: You obviously know nothing about scarcity-based economics.

And you obviously know nothing of the subject that's being talked about.

For the record, this entire thread involves scarcity-based economics inside Runescape.

But I was replying to this:

The way I see it, on the release of the G.E. Jagex set prices to what they saw as reasonable. This was their attempt to help those players who were not merchants be able to afford some of the better items in the game.

From this post and other posts on this thread I have inferred that Magzar believes that the better items in Runescape should belong to all players. Due to these items being inherently more desirable and with a limited supply, their prices rise. Magzar wants these prices to be low. I was pointing out the idiocy in this belief.

i never said i wanted the prices to be low

i want them to be less ridiculously priced

but the thread is really about junk trading

because no matter how much junk you throw in you're still trading that rare for the exact same damn price as if you didn't add the junk

you're just making people buy your useless [cabbage]

    [/hide]

    1. They're ridiculously priced by the laws of supply and demand.

2.Junk trading occurs inside Runescape which essentially a scarcity-based economy. Therefore this thread is also about scarcity.

    3.Then hasn't junk become a second currency?

your number 2 isn't a real sentence, the first half doesn't mean anything

as for number 3 no because it's unusable outside of junk trading

once you have it you can't do anything with it unless you have a rare to sell

and the junk is clogging the market

more and more junk is flooding in every day, and no one is getting rid of it because it's used in junk trading

let it keep up and everyone is going to end up with more junk than money, and absolutely nothing to do with it

and carl there's nothing good about trying to keep items out of peoples' hands

if we used the g.e. to start with and the prices rose then the items would be expensive, but available without the complication of gathering or otherwise acquiring junk

    2. Thanks, I've fixed it now

    3. This is called a fiat currency. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_currency

  7. Party hats are definately discontinued as there are only as many as the number of party hat and crackers combined. No more crackers will be dropped and therefore no more party hats can be 'made'. All the crackers in existence atm technically do have a party hat inside.

This. Can this thread die now? Pretty please? :wall:

  8.

Theoretically you're supposed to have sex with one loved one, after marriage, that you cannot divorce from. Being naked is connected with sex, which unless its your wife/husband, its bad.

I think the idea of sex only after marriage is crap. I don't understand why you would marry someone knowing there's a chance you two aren't sexually compatible or can't fulfill each others' needs in that aspect. Sure you can have the rest of it covered but sex is fairly important in relationships.

What? This is organized religion! It doesn't have to make sense!

  9. Do you know about battlestaffs? Buy water orbs from grand exchange, buy battlestaffs from Zaff in Varrock for 7k each at the staff shop (right click buy battlestaffs), high level alch them for 9.3k, aprox 1k profit each(300gp roughly to buy a nature rune, 1k roughly for water orb). Trains crafting and magic pretty well but it's only possible to buy 8 battlestaffs a day without doing the Varrock diary.

Interesting. I'll have to try that.
