ha thx. too many ppl in late 30's not eccentric enuf. dunno about gram def tho, no eng lit maj., but seem to converse way better than most (irl i mean, specifics on typin in forum u dont like?...maybe help me get fun players next time)

Firstly, I think you haven't really made yourself very clear as to what you are asking for. Do you just want miners to mine the coal, then you will buy it off them (unnoted) and bank it for yourself? If so, then I think this is actually a nice idea (for the miners) but I don't understand why you don't just buy the coal straight from the GE?
i was goin to superheat then smith at wild anvil....

And as for the Bodyguards, what do you want them for? Is this still while the mining is going on? are you scared of revenants? or do you plan to do this on a PVP world?
partly for transaction of coal, gobbys start attackin me again when i get back from anvil. thought if ppl were goin to train anyways, they could make a little xtra, i dont need lvl 100 fighters, just some ppl to have fun

I think it's unlikely that people will go for this, there are better places to mine, better paying jobs as "bodyguards" but I wish you good luck in acheiving your goals.
hmmm, really seems a little more exciting than guild or a town mine. ok, ok, ALOT more. dont understand actually y more ppl not out there playin like this. fighters train at gobby mine still, right? (not here for few years & b4 wild only pvp) and, umm, the very most obvious...why are all those rocks out there anyways??? with a furnace and anvil nearby??? ha ha ha ha ha....just, umm, maybe lookin for some ppl not anti-social and here to play to not just lvl....
have to go for the day soon....ppl add me if this sounds interestin & how u want to play for awhile. i can do a couple hours a day a couple times a week.

Hi. Depending on minin lvls i need 2-4 miners for coal at gobby mine. will pay ge price 8-)
and 2 bodyguards :ohnoes: , besides ur drops, ill pay a few addy bars an hour, and ill buy some bones (though less than ge)
ill edit this when i have enuf ppl for the day. :thumbsup:

ok, first of all, im nearly 40yo. i know how to object-oriented program (the basics), i studied for license to buy/sell securities in 90's.
purewcnub - ha, yes, you understand the basics, but there is more going on than that. people adjust the price much faster than would normally be played out. (my locked post from a couple hours ago gives one example of this)
Makoto_the_Phoenix - i am very sure you are wrong. until i know better i wont give an example, but why not put in a order for 1000 items, sell them to yourself, then do it again and again. did this not occur to you?
now it seems more likely the ppl that do this won't be talkin about it, since there are now a few replies from people that honestly didn't know this has been going on, or know and just trying to keep what they feel is a secret only for the select few.
Anyone else have something substantial to add to this topic? may not be on for few days.

this question was a small part of another post that was locked for "spam", so i will try to be as simple as possible.
if i want to adjust price in ge of item by a few hundred gp, how is it done? and it must involve more than selling massive quanities at the highest/lowest price.
(still with me, if not, plz dont spam my post)
like if someone has a large order at the lowest cost when your trying to drop the price, you have to stop 1gp above their offer?
how many items have to be bought or sold to adjust the price? it seems several thousand must be likely.
is this a highly active activity? how many others are doing this at any given time?
(if there is something that you legitimately dont understand about my post, be specific when you reply)

wooohooo. isnt it exciting!! i was just complaining a couple weeks ago about how merchs were keepin (and still are) addy bars too low.
isn't this goin to the little guy? i can mine to lvl and make some bank at same time.
with everythin thats goin on, its very nice to see ge exaggeratin.
i actually suggested somethin to jagex that was similar to ge. i know they read and used my suggestion because the other part was to "add friend" in chat window. remember that not there in classic or at first in rs2? (*sighs* didnt get lifetime membership, free month, even thx. :( )
so you should believe me when i say there is one or two simple solutions to fix price manipulation. why dont you all try brainstorming in a post or two and see if you cant come up with it.
i wasnt on for few years til just b4 summer, but did tip.it long time ago. database crash or just old accounts get deleted?
