  1. I noticed bosses got higher level the higher my dung level.

EDIT: Also, i noticed my deflect curses rarely work, but I'm guessing they're supposed to be like that and it's not a bug, so I just use soul split most of the time.

  2. Mage is definitely insane kills speedwise, but unless you get a SOL you won't make much GP. So if you're 99 mage I'd just melee with prayer pots.

Oh and if yer not 99 mage, you will get it very fast there. From 98-99 slayer I got 2m magic exp, burthorping tasks until I got any type of worms.

  3. 5.2b for a blue partyhat? For a completely useless item??? My god some people must be stupid. Or bored.

its DISCONTINUED, which means their numbers are not increasing. Its reasonable to pay a lot for them because they simply cannot be produced whatsoever.

In my opinion, they are still way underpriced and have a long way to go before they're due for a crash.

I think that there is a flaw in your reasoning there.

The inccrease in price is too steap and not at all natural at the moment, the demand is inflated by hundreds of greedy merchers.

Yellow partyhat was 100m and buyable at lowest not so long ago. (that is how I got mine, which I still got)

The item was discontinued then, and stil is now.

All of the above ^ but I'd say the current state of party hats is more so due to gp creation via PVP (obviously) which then trickles back down to MHers, raw material collectors, etc. This in turn, has created massive inflation, and, as I said months ago on this post as gear was rising, it would come to a point and stop, because if armadyl hilts reached 1 bill, everyone would be fighting Kree.

Party hats increasing 1 percent per day, even at their now near peak prices, is not enough to sustain equalibrium prices. Supply cannot reach an equilibrium point with demand. The demand at the price players are willing to pay (which technically is picked by and also bottlenecked by the GE price, which could be viewed as sort of a government intervention) is growing faster than quantity supplied for that price. Do you know how many people have 500m+ nowadays? There simply are not enough party hats to go around at their current prices. Way underpriced.

There is definitely a rare "bubble" at the moment, further increasing demand for rares. For example, On Feb. 1st. Santas spiked up almost out of no where, and seem to be leveling off at around 55m.

  4. If you're only looking to spend a couple mil from 60 herblore, don't. Not worth it, since you probably don't have much to spare and that couple mil won't do squat for you in terms of benefits from leveling herblore. Get more money then do it.

  5. Hard to say. Short term it'll be around 9 and long-term 5. Just a guess. Slayer don't have a high margin of return for long.

SOL doesn't have the same utility as whip, although you can't camp for SOLs. An item like SOL is unprecedented, so it's very hard to predict.

  6. Other variables the same (meaning no huge money drains / change of gameplay that changes the direction of wealth).. In the long run, even the smaller rares will will continue to rise. PVPers AND people with maxed cash have to spend their gp somewhere and most gear has hit their peak points. Jagex has to rectify this problem because IMO it's a huge one.

  7. Off topic, but to touch upon Eluc/Myweap, there are in fact, two general paradigms and plenty of space inbetween for a variation of both.

Some people do have more fun having a "good" battle than winning in itself, whereas some might have more fun simply winning. The play styles of the wilderness is evident of this, as we have players abiding by the player-made rules of no safing no praying etc. and then we have the rushers. It's just different people are fulfilled differently. The skills of the player may/may not be a variable in choosing the said play styte as well.

Another example in RS pking dates back to the RSC era. I was a pure. Why? Well, it allowed me to rack up easy kills on impures around my levels as impures back then were EXTREMELY weak.. But boy, when I killed another pure with comparable skills, one that was higher, or a main with better stats because of my skills, it was extremely gratuitous and turned out to be a much better story on the forums than killing a nobody impure than never pked.

Personally, I'd rather have a great fight with someone challenging than slaughtering a noob. Although both can be fun, if you actually win against a challenging opponent, there is something you feel words can only touch upon.

Just my 2 cents / opinion.
