From the Tip.It TT Guide, im looking now to see if there is any requirements to get into the Necro Tower.

I just went there to investigate it. Clicking the door worked just fine.

K, just to make sure, your talking about that necromancer tower, the one in the bottom right hand side of that image? The one that requires you to go to the guy in catherby is, last time I checked, quest related and NOT related to the clue scroll you have...Yes, I'm talking about the necromancer tower.
The only reason I mentioned the guy in catherby is because it came up on that other site (the link i posted), which was the only problem similar to mine i could find on the web. I guess we can all ignore that now.

You cant walk into Morgan Le Fayes keep which is what the guy in cathurby is for.
I don't think you can enter the Tower of Life without permission, which is near the Necromancer's and possibly confused for it; this seems quite likely since you said "Necromancer's Tower" and he doesn't have a tower just a small house on the coast found north and slightly east of the tower of life and directly east of clock tower
huh? it is referred to officially necromancer's tower (at least by fan sites anyway) and it is the necromancer's tower I have to go into, not the tower of life. Thanks for the reply though :)

I got a Clue scroll (hard) and I'm about 3 clues in with "Throat mages seeks companionship. Seek answers inside my furniture if interested". Basically, I have to go into the Necromancer Tower (south of Ardougne, east of the clock tower); go upstairs and search some draws/a box/something. The only problem is, when I try to open the door it says something along the lines of "You first need permission to enter".
Now I've literally searched various RuneScape fansites and forums, and CAN NOT find the answer anywhere. Infact I've only found a similar issue mentioned ONCE anywhere: http://www.runescaperealm.com/forums/showthread.php?t=79638 - Only problem is I've went to the guy in Catherby and tried every combination of talk to him, with no success.
My friend's being a [bleep] and wont tell me how to get it, however he's certain that it isn't a quest I need to do.
So does anyone know how I get permission? I've spammed the G.E. and banks all over RuneScape in various worlds, and no one seems to know.
Someone please help!!!

Yeah everyone's told me about flesh crawlers (the ones in the safety place right?) but I've never been there because I didn't get that much information.
Are there ranged safespots at flesh crawlers? What about Giant spiders?

Huh. That's funny I could've sworn I did the event the other day and got fishing xp.

On another note has anyone else noticed the problem with training at lesser demons if you're a non-member?
Training at lessers is annoying because it's either a case of you're too low a level (and lessers have a high defense) so leveling up takes time, or, when you can kill them fast enough, the exp required per level is considerably higher so it takes just as long leveling as before (if that makes sense).

Who says a pures gotta be for pking? I am just trying to train it to lvl 99 while I'm under police bail conditions, not that it's any of your business. Gives me something to do rather than watching TV repeats or playing COD.
PS. I haven't played RuneScape in a good 2-3 years, I forgot how fun and addicting it can be lol!

I done it, and I can confirm that neither cooking or fishing xp is gained!
At least a semi-nooby question that had a lot of different answers is now confirmed.

I'm fairly certain you don't get any exp for catching the fish on the island?
When you leave it says something like "You feel yourself learn a bit more about Fishing." Which grants you XP.
Hmmm 2 conflicting posts. IIBowsII seems to be more beleivable as it's the sort of thing no one would be uncertain about or forget.
one of the most hysterical posts i've ever seen. your fishing is still going to be unranked at level two, and at your stats, nobody is going to worship you for being "strictly pure". i can't even contemplate the fact that your actually considering waiting 24 hours.
It doesn't matter to me if it's unranked and no one will ever know, I will know, and it's my account. I'm not looking for worship. I have been polite and you're just a nob.
YOU do not get fish xp, that was how it used to be, now, you get a box, generally with a lamp option, that you can chose fishing, doing the event shouldn't raise your fihsing level.
This actually sounds true. After all events I get a box where I can either choose from a list of items or xp lamp. However the issue is still wether or not the fishing itself will raise my lvl. You seem to be very sure and since someone else has commented the same I'm fairly sure since you're both regular members of the forum.
Unless someone can confirm wether I'll get xp or not I'll try it within the next 5 minutes.

Unless its changed after 24 hours you will teleported off the island and to some random place.
Okay, that's annoying since I planned out getting 73 ranged today but it solves my problem. At least my knowledge on how RuneScape works has been expanded.

Hi, I'm my name's Ninos and I've come here for a few reasons. I've always been reading posts, but never finally signed up until today. Today I had a problem and because I'm a low level I can't post on the RuneScape forums, so it gave me an excuse to finally register here at Tip.it.
Basically, I'm a range pure. My ranged lvl is 72, and my hitpoints lvl is 61. And that's it. Every other skill, including non-combat, is 1. I'm a very strict pure and I want to keep it that way.
The problem is, I was taken by evil bob to a random event. It's on an island. To get off, I have to catch a fish using the fishing skill. However, I'm extremely close to lvl 2 (literally a couple of xp off) and there's no way I'm leveling it. So I'm stuck here forever.
All I can think of doing is contacting a Player Moderator, who can then contact A Jagex in-game Admin, who can remove me off the island or something? Does anyone know a Player Moderator? Are there any registered on this board? If not, perhaps could someone that has access to the RuneScape forums quote this post and then re-post it over there for me?
I think this random event is something that needs to be looked at and perhaps updated by Jagex since my situation has highlighted a problem.

Only got 2 nooby quests in progress (Clock tower and sheep herder), I can't see them being a problem?
I'm back! I'll login to w99 now, add "ninosink", i'll tele there now :) tyvm! lets see what happens.
