    A new maximum level?

    It would be interesting to see a new max for each level. It's been stuck at 99 for such a long time already...

     

    Oh, and 200M exp equals to about level 126 and a half.

     

    It all depends on the individual and their game goals. 120 or 99 really doesn't matter to me but it may be the holy grail for other. while totally POing someone who got all 99s.

    Going on 10 years of Runescape and still no 99s, I guess if getting to the max so you can say you beat runescape is the goal it would be upsetting. For me though levels are secondary to the fun factor and friends. the levels just kind of happen. LOL 120 would would probably take me a good 30-40 years to reach if I cant do one 99 in 10 years time.

    its $5 it aint a fortune either your a member or your not. But hey I eat steak about every night and ride a $90,000 horse for kicks so maybe I dont know how valuable $5 is to the low class.

    I really do eat steak about every night, LOL it is cheap. I raise cattle

     

    I also really do ride a 90k horse but he is also my main source of income.

     

    I have a masters in Equine science So im OK in the Education department

     

    and am slowly working on the PHD.

     

    GRammer do you really think a horse or mule cares about gramar.

    But really hourly RS would be a nightmare to add on Jagex part.

     

    and $5 is pocket change. When members first came out it was $5 I cant remember what year members became available pretty sure 2001 thats what 6 years without a price increase. Not bad inflation in my opinion.

     

    I stopped at the gas station on the way to the feed store yesterday morning. I bought a cup of coffee and 2 dognuts the total was $4.97

     

    and that gave me 1/2 hour of misery. Yet for $5 I have the potential to entertain my self for 720 hours each month Give or take.

     

     

     

    Other thing is Jagex pays a fee for every transaction they make via plastic. The hourly plan could easily with some CC companies cost Jagex more than the hourly fee. Thats why the Thunder 5 Ranch doesnt take plastic

    Alot easier if someone posts the old Score list:) So many names to add, so many people come and go or banned, alot should be banned lol Its nice to see any old skool player whether they are famous or not:) I remember all friends of mine:)

    kindness - how far is too far?

    I would say you went too far but hey its only pixels.

     

     

     

    Funny story kinda related.

     

    I was training my noob character and talking to a friend. My noob is only lvl 45 and my friend is 125. I lost my left hand a few months back and we were talking about that and different types of replacment hands or whether I should just get a old fashioned pirates hook. A couple of low end 100s came by and overheard part of the conversation and spent a good solid 30 minutes trying to convince my friend that I was noob scammer trying to get free stuff and the whole time claiming they were reporting me for item scamming.

     

    Gets stupid in RS now days dont it. \

    Its hard to read these suck up threads without feeling insulted for those who spend ALOT of time trying to improve the game through expression their concerns.

     

     

     

    While also knowing there are alot of spam threads complaining about mindless things.. you make both sound like whining kids.

     

     

     

    But I think we can all agree we hate these suck up people worshipping them even more. Those people who dont read rants properly and write complete trash. They never read beyond the title and call everyone a noob.

     

     

     

    I would pay 50 pounds a month just to play in a server with those other ranters who would also pay 50 pounds a month to escape players who suck up to them. Alot of us spend time trying to improve the game and have to deal with these players who cant even read..

     

     

     

    Without people ranting and stepping up we would both be working a coal mine or something in real life.

     

     

     

    Alot of things are broken in this game and fortunatly there are alot of players that love this game to the point they choose to play while trying to make jagex listen! They want them to listen because they love the game more than those who dont rant. Those who dont rant just quit and offer nothing to the community. Sacrifice nothing.

     

     

     

    Everyone else who rants is just a moron. Try reading the valid rants and you see people with double your intelligence and love for the game.

    I am guessing, you were NOT around in the old days when Paul would log on and PK or right after dueling was introduced and he stood in Lumbridge welcoming all challengers for several hours.

     

    But fret not little one I forgive your ignorance go forth and know that you have gained some knowledge, now if you only had the wisdom to use it :)

    Jagex probably misses the tighter, better community of RSC before people started abusing the game with Macro programs. But they also probably love RS2 because of its great success, I mean come on... wouldn't you love something that made you rich?

     

     

     

    I personally wish we could combine RS2's game content with RSC's community... would be an awsome game then.

     

     

     

    The RSC community was just as nasty, if not more. The rules have just been tightened. And the number of players has increased tenfold.

     

     

     

     

     

    I agree with you to a point, I think the community was 1000x better in 98 99, The rivalries tended to be deeper and more personal. I think some of those rivalries were very nasty, but there was more respect even for a enemy. I hated LKJ but I respected her ability, even if she never did manage to kill me :)

    my son doesnt understand why I wont buy him a pick up truck like the one I drive. It is a really nice truck Dodge 3500 crew cab and extended bed with a 24 valve diesel.

     

    Lets see he makes ummm around $100 a week and drives the farms old ford 150.

     

    I guess my opinion is if you want to drive a $65,000 customized truck get a job that will pay for it, otherwise keep driving the old ford

     

    Same with games they are a luxury not a requirment of life.

     

    Run your question and problem by your economics proffesor and see that he/she has to say about it :)

    Serious I have seen more people complaining about how bad jagex is and always trying to screw them over, about how this is broke or that is broke.

     

    Cheating and how they do nothing about it..... ive played a few other games, guess what WOW has a very active and growing community of cheaters, Ultima Online completly infested with scripters and dupers that go un checked, Guild Wars yep cheaters. I have to say Jagex does a pretty good job of controling it in the least restrictive way for legit players.

     

     

     

    Anyone else remember a statement either paul or Andrew made just prior to members "we really don't want to charge anything but to keep developing the game and supporting it, we will have a members pay version???" my quote may not be exact but pretty close

     

     

     

    RS cost too much is another big complaint I hear all the time in game.

     

    COME ON its $5 per month go play WOW for $5 per month, your water bill is more than $5 per month and I guarntee most dont spend as much time at the tap as they do at the RS interface.

     

     

     

    Yeah I was a heavy critic of some of the things in the past, like mods that helped special people gain levels, Fatigue was a big one for me.

     

     

     

    I suspose since comming back my biggest complaint has to be the quality of so many of the players and the community. Way to many cry babies that grief and cry about how its too hard to make money or get (insert item) and What community its like every player for themselves.

     

    Not all i have seen and met a lot of good decent people (LOL usually the 30-40+ years old players

     

     

     

    So anyone else think Paul and Andrew ever miss the old days with only a few servers and pretty much everyone appreciating their effort?

    dEBATE OVER.....Zonghui was the first, I was there and yes I am on that first 2000 players list, wont say which since Tyrsbreath is my second acct :) and even at that Tyrsbreath is as old as most of the old players.

     

    LKJ was second, dont remember 3rd

     

    Zezima was once a friend and I think had just made the top 50 when I left. No clue why so many people think zez has dominated RS from day 1

     

    Bluerose yeah famous even if we couldnt stand each other, Although I did like her comment to someone pestering her...about getting punctured with a aids infected needle...

     

    Or my getting muted by mod simon for 2 days because he was helping her level prayer... Anyone remember my post here "MOD Simon gave LKJ the bone"? it didnt even get cendored back then :)

    consider this I was for all leveling purposes gone from runescape for almost 5 years. I was ranked #2 overall when I left. My kids logged on occasionally to keep the account alive and gained a point here or there.

     

    So for 5 years my account pretty much sat stagnate.

     

    When I logged on 4 weeks ago I was ranked 67895 in the overall (muhahaha a month later 28,000 of you are below me again :)

     

    The point is if I didnt drop out of the top 100k in 5 years of almost total in activity I dont see where there will ever be a problem with the hi score being too full.

     

    BTW I just did get ranked in RC and contuction and slayer. I am still un ranked in hunter.

     

     

     

    Noob character I started a month ago and am only playing a few hours a day is ranked in att, hp, str,defence, cooking, fishing and fletching.

     

    Anyway if someone who hasnt played for 5 years cant get out of the top 100k in that 5 years there is no problem other than players of today arent the players of yesterdaY

    havnt heard that name in a long time. LOL I don't even know whats rare now days. I have some santa hats, a bunch of christmas crackers, bunny ears, halloween mask or I did, I havnt logged on to that acct in 5 years, my son played it for a while and said it got hacked so not sure if there is a bronze dagger on it now.

     

    ill get the pw from him tonight and see if I still have all the junk I left it with.

     

    Looking at the high scores Ive got my work cut out for me to get back in the top 2-3 Hehe I never wanted #1 TKS was too good of a friend to take it from her

    I am still around and read tip it once in a while. I quit back in god i dont even rember now. Yes I was old when I quit, I tried logging on a few months ago and couldnt get on, later I was chatting with a old friend that still plays and he ask why I dumped him from the friends list and wouldnt talk to him in game and found that he had just seen me the day before.....

     

    Well I put 2 and 2 together and figured my account got hacked or stolen so im still around on tip it about every month or 2 but if you see Tyrsbreath in game it isnt me........ too bad the loser that got my account couldnt have at least bothered to keep my name in the top 3 of the overall hi scores. Anyway if anyone from Jagex wants to take pity on a old fart and give his account back......yeah right LOL

     

    LKJ was for sure one of the oldest one of the few older than me. Just remember mod simon gave LKJ the BOne anyone trolling the boards during that time will know what that means.
