Hahah this reminds me what a bunch of [bleep]s the bunch at jagex are sometimes.
Needles to say noone will probably believe the following but my brother had also found out the dupe trick perhaps even before that other idiot because he couldn't keep his mouth shut.
My brother figured out how to create items while looking for a way to dupe items because he knew trough experience that it was possible, he has helped develop some internet browser games and has a college degree for computer engineer.
A couple of days later he made a lv 1 account to see if the trick would still work and it did he then started creating a whole bunch of stupid items and held a couple of drop parties.
Then word was out by Jagex that they would give a life time of free membership to anyone that would tell him how the trick worked, not a second later and my brother wrote a very detailed text on how he did it, how he discovered it and whatnot but it was send on my account.
i have never received the membership nor have i even received a reply from Jagex on that message, also my brother got banned not because he "duped" but because he autoed.
I was pretty naieve back then and was convinced that i would get a lifetime free membership.
Also i had a very very sad childhood so more lies just makes me more mentally ill.
Regardless of whom believes it, if i ever get my hands on a guided missle i know where i'ma guide it.
Did your brother happen to be Dylock? As I remember him saying that he was offered lifetime membership if he told Andrew how it was done, and then was banned when he did tell Andrew.

After Jagex recently taking down one of the biggest botting sites within the last week im suprised theres still problems with them. Dont believe me? Theyve been talking about it in Mod Mmg's chat non stop. Just google the term "Rsbot" and youll see what i mean ;). I dont know if what your seeing is just the last few left over after that but honestly give it a week or two and im sure their botting porgram will be too outdated to use and botters will be be out of the game for a good while.
All Jagex did was take the domain, the forums are still there and even if they managed to take the site down, the bot would still be updated as the project is hosted on google code. Any good script will not be affected by any of these suggestions, luckily there are alot of bad scripts

I realise that this is about dance music but, Whats with all the people posting metalcore bands saying they are hardcore punk??? Hardcore punk is minor threat, blackflag, dead kennedys etc which is not "screaming [cabbage]". You guys should really know the genre before posting bands or insulting the genre.

They would of been up roar if they are decent xp (which I assume they are) as what they drop doesnt magically affect peoples internet connections and illnesses that can delay reaction times. Thus making fire cape truely impossible for some players
Bull****. This is a videogame. It should require some amount of skill. I'm pretty offended that people are saying they have a mental illness just so they won't have to deal with something in the game. As someone who has a mental disorder, I find it very insulting. Nothing is impossible. I've suffered through a lot to do things I thought I couldn't, and people saying "Oh, I have ADHD, I can't beat Jad..." just so they can be able to get a staff of light and sell it for rediculous amounts of virtual money really offends me.
Having an illness is a challenge you're going to have to fight. I fought mine, and when people think they can get past theirs by complaining and whining until someone else fixes something for them, especially in a videogame, it really irks me.
Theres some mental disorders that effect reaction speed and no matter how much you "fight" them you wont react quickly, making prayer switching for Jad impossible. Thus making Jad impossible.
Equally if yuo have a bad internet connection and lag all the time it is impossible.
if you have a bad internet connection or bad reflexes for whatever reason, many things in online computer games are not possible. is that a reason to compromise all content which relies on such things as reflexes and decent internet connections?
actualy its very possible without the "physical ability" to prayer switch
im a strong believer in the saying "brute force, if its not working your not using enough"
with ss + turmoil + venge + d claws you can kill jad without any skill whatsoever, just rush him and even tho its not 100% if you attempt this 3-5 times one of the times ull drop him in about 10 seconds
What part of your brain makes you think tht someone with a reaction delaying illness that stops them pray switching is going to be able to hop between 2 weapons, a spell AND a prayer to drop jad before an attack hits them?
That requires quicker reaction speed than prayer switching.
People with reaction delay illness is rare and shouldn't stop jagex putting content requiring skill into the game unless Jagex wants this game to be viewed as a little kids game forever.

THey should ban the idiots who complain about the updates. This game is updated more then world of warcraft.
lol? They release 3 huge content patches a year and minor patches every month or so, so you are pretty much wrong.

Voice Chat means talking, you have to talk to the Customs officer to get onto a ship to go to Karamja, Karamja has a port, a port means there is boats, and boats means there is sailing! OH MY [bleep] GOD! It's not happening.
In all seriousness, it could be Night/Day RuneScape, which would be quite interesting, could this mean that your character would actually need to sleep? Sleeping could induce things like making beds for the Construction skill, I mean, honestly I don't really know, but It would be pretty cool, a lot of things could lead off of it. Who knows what JaGeX has up their sleeve this time.

Oh and a small note, that type of 3rd party client is illegal.
Try learning the facts before trying to be smart. That type of client may be against the rules but in no way is it illegal.

IMO they should bring in more random events, harder ones, ones that have no colour (bots use colour for everything) have a random with numbers or something. Or just put muggers/ thieves at all main bot spots. Yes this will hurt the skillers...but what would you rather have. millions of bots and some happy skillers or much less bots and unhappy skillers.
Bots do not use colour for everything. More random events will not fix everything because they can just be scripted for and any good autoer lvls his/her characters above level 40 combat to look less like a botter. Those level 3 woodcutters are easily detected but the sheer volume makes then take a while to get banned and they want to find what accounts the botters trade their resources to so they can also ban them.

Jagex, jagex... When will you ever learn how to stop macroers? You apparently have "protection" against them,, yet I go on the biggest world and most unlikely place for macroers, and there are 5 little level 3 accounts hogging my yews. That is rediculous. And they have forgotten about one of the most surefire ways to stop macroers. Forums and other websites use it, why can't they.
I reckon that Jagex should add in a security feature. When your not in combat and out of the wilderness, if it actually detects signs of macroers, example, constant clicking, waiting before clicking, long term cutting, it will have a little pop-up screen asking you to type in a certain security code. This would work a lot and wouldn't annoy players too much. It also means most macroers would go out of buisiness because they wouldn't be able to crack this code.
So who agrees with me on this system, because at the moment I'm pissed and can't cut a yew without 5 other macroers joining in, making money for their mains, and then bragging to other people about their mask and 40 mill that they "earned". If you agree with this system, please post a reply saying so. I was thinking of building up a partition, though I was too lazy. Any help of getting this message to Jagex would be greatly appriciated.
You didn't play rs1 did you. If you did you would know this has been tried similary(sleeping bags) and failed yet you think it will work now.

Its not actually possible. The two games are totaly different, and can nolonger communicate. RSC would have to be TOTALY rewritten for this to work, and frankly it will not be done (as that was the whole point of the release of rs2.
Sorry but there is no realistic way it could happen.
Your game physics degree is backing up your claims of course?, oh wait you dont have one? then let andrew gower decide whats possible.
Rsc wouldnt have to be rewritten at all, the codes all there it just has to be intergrated into the server and linked to a portal.
Anyone with a basic knowledge of java would know that it would take alot of work but with little benefit for Jagex so they probably won't do it and you don't need to have a "game physics" degree to know that.
