if you go down to the lowest level in the grotworm dungeon you can find a stair case going down. this stair case is currently blocked by rocks, but might become unblocked in later updates.
also if you examine the mature grotworms it sugest a fourth stage to the grotworm monster. maybe the fourth level will be the location of the new monster that could possibly be released soon.
what is your thoughts on this?
-
yes, the horn could be a one-time trophy, but i dont think it could work as a 100% drop, as in you get i 100% of the times u beat her :P
-
Did you see how many horns were on her head? I'm sure she wouldn't miss one let alone notice it missing... For a while at least.
true, but that would mean there was a limit to how many times you could fight her, unless she has some sort of instant healing. i just find it hard to believe jagex would make it possible to chop her horns of. oh well, for all i know you might be correct
-
ye, plucking of a few dragon scales seems alot more likely than chopping of a horn lol.
and being a fan of black d'hide armour i hope your theory is correct :)
-
Dragon horns maybe? Could be crafted into like a barbarian horn that when blown gives you the passive buff mentioned?
that sounds interesting, but i dont think that will be the case, remember you wont be able to kill it so you probably wont be able to get any of her body parts. :P
I disagree with that thought. I would like to imagine that after fighting a beast so grand and monstrous we would be able to cut off a horn as for a trophy to flaunt against the dragonkin.
I would think that whatever we received fro the loot chest would be something generic or eventually obtainable from the ge.
i still doubt you can get any of her horns tbh, but i guess only time will tell :P

SoF spin ticket.
haha, i pray to god thats not the case.
but looking back at the recent updates, it could happen! :P

Probably
what do you mean? tat it will probably have a 100%drop? if so what do you think it willl be?
-
do you think the qbd will have a 100% drop? since you wont actually be able to kill her, you probably wont get a bone drop at least. so what could her 100% drop be, if any at all?

it will mostly depend if 1 ore=1 flask or 1 ore is like 5+ flasks
that is an interesting thought, but i think 1 ore = 1 flask.
-
I'd actually argue the opposite. If they haven't designed it so that flasks cannot be refilled, I think it's a serious design flaw. They should make so that you have to use the six doses and that's it, otherwise it's a pointless exercise.
ye i agree. 6 doses no refills :)
-
Maybe a vial simply has 6 charges and each time you drink from it drains one charge (breaking at 0).
Personally I can't see a 50k price being worth it, at that point you're paying 1m+ for one inventory of those vials to save one banking trip of about 5-10 minutes every 1-3 hours depending on what you're hunting. For a boss which is 10 minutes banking per hour and 5m gp/hr profit, you can pay up to ~500k per hour to halve banking times and still profit, which is depending on the boss about 20k each (20 potions used per hour). For a boss which is 5 minutes banking per hour and 3m gp/hr, halving banking time would be worth it at about 135k per hour, so 6-7k per flask.
yea that seems very reasonable, good thinking there :D

But that is still all pointlessly complex extras Jagex has no reason to add, plus why would they mention to use it breaks when empty but not mention it has a strictly limited lifespan if not emptied?
still complex? it would take like 3-4 lines of code (maybe a bit more in theyr language, i think they use javascript. but only a few lines in my language: c++)
and they wont give us too much detail, because if they did we wouldnt be discussing it, and the discussing builds a bit of hype around the update. :P

Sure people do stuff to have fun, but even having fun it is stupid to either:
a) Discard a 2 dose extreme or overload as you cannot decant it.
b) Take a 2 dose on a trip when you could take a full 6 dose and last longer.
And I highly doubt jagex is gonna imposing any complex system on these beyond when 1 dose is drunk they break; it'd take too much coding for no real reason. Plus even Jagex aren't stupid enough to not see how people use potions (eg decanting leftovers to reform full pots)
they dont need any "complicated coding" to do so. all they would have to do would have been something similar to: making a variable containing the number of times the vial had been refilled. everytime the potion got refilled they would add one to the variabel. when the variabel reached say 3 the vial would break.
another way they could do it would be so that you could "reverse" the decanting in a way. what i mean by that is that you could perhaps take the remaining doses from the flask into a vial, that way you would not waste the overload or brew dose (or any other type of pot)

There is always the option that they may be quite low, as some have pointed out they hold 6 doses and are destroyed when emptied.
So why not just treat them as a 5 dose potion?
Reap the benefits, but never empty them. That way you only need 1 lot of them ever which would wipe out a lot of demand.
lol i doubt jagex will make it possible to do that, since they clearly stated that they want this to be a good daily profit for people that meet the requirements.
How exactly are they going to disallow it?
Even if they enforce a rule where by you can ONLY decant 6 doses into it, you can decant an extra 5 in when its at 1.
Make it so you can't add to it at all after the first 6?
Watching the rage fly and then the item become virtually unused as people don't want to waste left over dregs of potions, but equally don't want to waste space taking 2 or 1 dose pots out to tasks.
Besides what Jagex wants/hopes won't dictate how they are used in reality short of a major nerf that kills the content (eg how they 'fixed' flash powder factory and now it's dead as the robes aren't worth it due to time and it's rubbish xp rates)
that may be, but still i higly doubt you would be able to use them tah way, jagex will probably make them break after a certain number of "refills" or something if they are to allow it.
as for the xp waste and dead content stuff, yes it may be xp waste to do some of the minigames, but there are people who do stuff on rs to you know...have fun :D (althought i have fun going for good xp rates lol)
-
I doubt that you will be able to trade the flasks once they have a potion in them.
yea i agree with you.
it will be interesting to see how jagex go about this :D

Using Saradomin Brews as an example,
Saradomin brew(1) is 3,307gp
Saradomin brew(2) is 6,427gp (+3,120gp for second dose)
Saradomin brew(3) is 9,794gp (+3,367gp for third dose)
Saradomin brew(4) is 13,200gp (+3,406gp for fourth dose)
Since there are a lot of other factors in those differences I would just approximate +3,500gp for five doses and +3,600gp for six doses.
Therefore I am guessing:
Saradomin brew(5) will be 16,700gp
Saradomin brew(6) will be 20,300gp
With some more demand in general because of their advantage in terms of trip length.
EDIT: Oh I misread, you mean just the empty flasks themselves. Disregard ^
haha, still enjoyed ur math there :D
interesting indeed :) but we still dont know if we can trade pots with 5 or 6 doses yet

Nobody knows for sure. Some people say that they could be 50-100k each.
i know noboby knows, what i asked was what your guess was ;)
-
so its pretty obvious that there will be a high demand for these flasks as they seem really usefull for stuff like nex, and there will probably be a very high demand for them because of the high requirements to obtain them, and because each lpayer can only obtain a maximum of 50 flasks per day.
what do you think the prices for the flasks will be?
my guess is around 10k each

ok thanks

i have heard PvM is profitabel, so i have a question:
is it worth getting turmoil to start soloing bosses? i currently have 95 pray banked, but i feel it wont be worth it :s

when you reach lvl 80, i sugest u superheat-drop the ores for better xp (wear goldsmith gauntlets for better smith xp/h). i also sugest u learn to use mousekeys if you are going to do this. aribiterspar has a very good guide on this method in his mining 1-99 guide on youtube :)

Although steel titan is better than iron for tasks, when in comparison with time saved from using fewer charms down the long road, it's negligible. I'd advise waiting and saving an hour or two in the end, because I don't forsee you saving 1-2 hrs from slaying with a steel titan instead of iron for that xp gap.
Essentially this, the time you bother with golds and greens is unnecessary you might as well finish up 99 slayer, and use the crimsons. Assuming your priority is finishing up slayer.
i agree with this as well.
extra level in the grotworm dungeon?

true but the point wasnt that it was that it was coming soon, it was that ther is probably another lvl planned for the dungeon.
i just hope it will be soon ;)
