  1. A good mouse makes a world of difference. I was using a $5 mouse and looking back, it sucked. Well worth the $40 for better ergonomics and extra buttons. Having Alt-Tab on the mouse is WIN (among other things).

Probably this is one of the best mouses?

That's the mouse I'm going to use to get 200m all skills.

I have the scroll wheel button assigned to my inventory, then the two on the side as prayers and magics.

God that's freaky.. I have the G400 and you took the pic of it on top of my post. :ohnoes:

Made me realize I have the same mouse

  2. Ok, so i was wondering. Would it be possible for someone to catch suomi and beat him to all 200m?

    About this player:

Assume he is on the ubermann sleep schedule and thus plays about 20hrs a day.

For sake of simplicity assume he doesnt get bored/lose interest

Assume money is no object at all. He can spawn money for sake of the question. For instance he could feasibly do demon thrones for construction.

Go ahead and say he is already maxed stats. But only has the very minimum exp for 99.

Would it be possible for them to catch suomi? Or is the lead insurmountable? Obviously with infinite cash the buyables would be relatively quick. But the slower skills that suomi already have would be he buggest hurdle.

Personally id guess that he would be uncatchable in this scenario. Just something fun that popped into my head and fiured id post it.

  3.

To a point I can understand why he was hired, but it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. He made a nice living screwing up the game for the fair players like me, now he's proclaimed as a saviour while making money from the opposite side of the spectrum. I cancelled membership when I saw the confirmation he was hired. No regrets either. I've been a loyal supporter of Jagex through thick and thin but this pushed me over the edge.

It'll be particularly interesting to see how the boot fits on the other foot when there's attempts to break his handywork in making RS a little more bot proof.

Im a bit biased so take this as you will:

I disagree with your opinion on the matter but thats pretty irrelevant and arguing over it won't do anything. But as far as the business decision to hire Jacmob they're really isn't much to hold against Jagex. In order for this game to be successful I think we can all agree thats Jagex needs the best coders and developers they can get. Jacmob was and is a fantastic coder and a great thinker, he went head to head with Jagex and came out on top for a long time. He had support but the brunt of the work and coding was done by him. Hiring him was Jagex realizing that there was someone who was extremely talented at what he did and he could benefit they're company. Sure he was on the wrong side at one point. But most of the coders for bots look at it as more of a challenge and an excercise in coding and don't really set out to just screw with Jagex. Morally we could argue all day about it, but from a pure business perspective I personally do not see a lot of wiggle room on it being the proper choice. But like I said, im pretty biased and Im sure there is a lot of people who disagree with me.

  4. I see what you're getting at. Here is a topic. What was more destructive, bots or the removal of bots?

Personally, I believe it depends on when you started the game. Older players, I would guess, would say the influx of bots hurt the game more in terms of deflowering the game so to speak. While I would bet people who started playing while botting was prevalent might think that the removal of bots had a much bigger impact in terms of affecting them.

I dunno, maybe a stupid idea. Just some food for though

  5. For the mid-level debate it really comes down to what you consider mid-level if you think of it as 80-110, which id consider mid-level then there is small room to debate the idea that your Stuck in a rut between lower content and higher content but even then your going to have a hard time justifying your argument. If your talking about mid-level being 50-79ish as i think the author was. There is a simple reason as to why you may think there is a lack of content(there isnt) its because if your playing more than a few minutes a day your not going to be in that level range very long because your gaining levels so fast.

As for the article having to do with bots. I think it was an interesting way to look at the situation. And a well written article. I think the main idea was to just show a few parrallels between the WWII and RS, though correct me if im mistaken.

    Both well written articles. Kudos

  6. I really enjoyed it. The commentary was a nice change from the people who get super loud and scream and what not. I enjoyed the low key you had to it. As far as suggestions the only thing i can think of is maybe the mumbling. There was a few times where you seemed to forget you were on mic and kinda mumbled to yourself or something. I really enjoyed the commentary though. Thanks for making it

  7. The problem is that nobody knew what would happen with Effigies a month or even a few months after their release. Not everyone is an Effigyscaper too, so about 95% of players are unaffected by this update and won't even know the difference.

I am sorry but I just don't feel you have a grasp of how significant this update is for most people.

Your confusing impact on you and your friends with impact on RS not every is maxed, and those that are maxed don't automatically effigyscape. Tbh they never shoulda been assisstable as theyre meant for ultra-end game. Those who dont need assists really arent as affected

  8. Well if your interested in charms at all Red Spiders arent bad. I've used them before. The ones under Edge, bring some pots and food, you might not do as well with only 70 strength. Try to think outside the box, remember B2P, if you have money to blow then B2P opens up a lot of different spots that pures can't normally consider. Zammy monks in the Chaos Tunnels used to not be bad. Khazard Troop are another decent gold dropper if your willing to pay attention as they die quickly.

  9. The support from everyone is actually really cool. I more expected people to come with the pitchforks. If anyone has any questions or anything lemme know.

Stonewall, i know alot of the people who used paid bots used them to gain prestige. Money, skills, the bots were a means to an end. I think it is more a testament to the fact that there are few ways to level some skills, if you dont enjoy the base skills like mining, wcing etc. then you really have an issue. Conversely if you dont like leveling up combat via training than your really shit outta luck. So it often starts as a means to an end and gets outta hand.
