  1. New Updates

So, we've finally seen the release of Fairy Tale III. I thought the quest was a little weird, but it was definately an interesting way to wrap up the quest line. The final battle was fun, even though my mouth was sore through the whole thing! The quest rewards are really good too. The Xp isn't really all that much, but I'm happy to finally be able to use the Fairy Ring Network without having to drag my Dramen or Lunar staff along with me. The magical watering can that never runs dry is a huge addition to farming, as well as never having to weed allotment patches.

Then we have the whole DirectX and new Zanaris graphics. Simply amazing. I was surprised how well the new graphical update turned out. From what I can tell, there weren't too many major bugs with it, unlike the release of RuneTek5.

The System Update podcast is still going strong. I was on yesterday's episode of it, but I didn't talk all that much. I had just woken up and was asked again at the last minute to be on the show. Don't get me wrong - I love doing the podcast and being a guest on it. Just it takes me a while to wake up sometimes and yesterday was one of those days. That and I always seem to talk more before and after the actual recording lol.

I've also been very busy recently doing a lot of website related things. I just launched a brand new RuneScape clan today called The Phoenix Knights. Feel free to come check us out! For those interested, we are a skiller clan mainly, but we're more relaxed about it, for now anyways. We're looking for new members to join our ranks!
  2. What I've Been Up To

Since my last update here, I've obviously maxed total at 2,376. I was the 677th player to reach this goal as well. I was able to be maxed for 2 weeks before Jagex released Dungeoneering on me. I'll explain a bit more about this in a bit.

Since maxing, I've been at work gathering the Strange rocks for the Shattered Heart distraction & diversion. I haven't been focused on it too much, so it'll probably take me longer than 30 full weeks to complete it. I'm almost 4 weeks into it now. Besides the obvious training of Dungeoneering, I've been working on some other goals - 20M Cooking, Woodcutting, and Fletching Xp. All of these have now been reached, so I have made the goal a bit higher - 50M Xp in each.

Whenever I get a chance to go with some friends, I'll work on Dungeoneering, but I'm in no real rush to get it to 99, let alone 120!

I've had the pleasure recently to be invited on a weekly RuneScape podcast called System Update. You can visit the site for more information on it. Basically it discusses the RuneScape updates for the week, any current news and whatever else the hosts wish to talk about. I was invited to be a guest on Episodes 11 and 13. It's a lot of fun being on the show and I think it's one of the best RuneScape related podcasts you'll find!

    My Thoughts on Dungeoneering:

My first thought on the new skill was very much like everyone else's - this is no skill, it's just a very huge MINIGAME! I was also greatly disappointed by how slow it is to level up the skill, and how you seem to get more Xp by working with a team of people.

It's starting to grow on me though, and while I'm currently only level 54 in the skill, I do plan on taking this higher fairly soon as I get a chance to play with some friends. I absolutely cannot stand training the skill solo, especially since you don't get rewarded for doing everything on your own in a similar way as you would teaming. It just doesn't seem fair that you get more Xp training in a team doing less work than you do if you are solo'ing it.

Do I think the skill is easy or difficult? I'd say it's really easy. Once you get the hang of how prestige works, you'll find that the slow xp rates you start off with gradually get better and better over time. It actually speeds up the more you train it! The difficult part, at least for me, is finding a team that's online at the same time that I am and on the same floor that I am so we can go raid together.
  3. Since I posted my last entry here, I've been rather busy within the game and haven't gone to very many external sites, including this one. Mining, Smithing, and Herblore - thanks to the Bonus Xp Weekend in part - are now just 4k from 99. My only other non-maxed skill (Summoning) is being worked on as we speak.

My ultimate goal since I started the game was to achieve a maxed level in every skill, and have completed all quest & achievement diaries. In just over 1 day, I will finally reach this goal.

I will be getting all 4 levels in a small tour around the Falador/Port Sarim area. Mining in the guild, Smithing down by Thurgo, Herblore up at the altar of Guthix, and Summoning in the Taverly Obelisk. Here is the event details:

    Date: Sunday March 28th, 2010
    Time: 5pm EST / 10pm GMT / 7am March 29th, AUS
    World: 48 (P2P)
Location: Meet in Falador park north of the Eastern bank. Try to be a little early
    Clan Chat: Majinvegito3

In other news, I've been really busy with work and other real life commitments, but once this major in game goal of mine is complete, I'll be able to finally relax a bit... until this new skill gets released....
  4. Let's be honest, I haven't been here in a while (since around the time I was maxing skill total for the first time before Dungeoneering came out) so I'm sure most probably won't even remember me. Feel free to read some of my really old entries if you would like. I set a goal after getting 99 Dungeoneering of earning the Completionist Cape (untrimmed). I've posted the YouTube series I started called "Journey to Completionist" below for you to watch.

Journey to Completionist - Intro, Remaining Reqs & Bank Cleaning

Journey to Completionist - Completion of Livid Farm

Journey to Completionist - Trekkin' Through Morytania
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOGZpkgmDT0

Now there aren't many tasks left to do before I earn the Completionist cape and I'm sure once I have it, I'll want to earn myself the trimmed version. Working a full time job and earning this should be quite the challenge, but I'm going to see if I can pull it off, especially with new content coming out constantly! Feel free to subscribe to me on YouTube and thumbs up the videos you see there.

I'm pretty new to the YouTube community so to speak. I made a few vids in the past but never got into it seriously until now. I try to make videos about the updates released to the game, as well as this series. If you would like to see anything else, please feel free to suggest it! Thanks for reading, everyone! I'll try to update this a bit more frequently!
  5. Smithing Begins

Recently, I've been Mining in game, with the goal of reaching level 98 and then getting to around 12.5M exp. Just a few days ago, I reached this goal and I've moved over to Smithing. My goal in this skill will be very much the same as it was with Mining. I should have plenty stocked up to get me to at least 98 Smithing. I'm now within 18 levels from maxing, and the excitement is building up.

I've also tried out War of Legends, and while there's not really much to do, I seem to have gotten a little bit addicted to it. Unfortunately, it's still in beta, and has a lot of improvements to go through before it's finally stable enough to fully release. The game has potential though, I'll give it that. In regards to FunOrb, all I've done on there recently is keep my streak going for Dungeon Assault's 'Creature of Habbit' achievement.

Real life has been busy with looking for a better job and a car. Just now, I'm getting home from work. I've worked around 17 of the last 24 hours, and I've been running on just around 4 hours sleep all day. I really need to find something soon that'll work out better for me. In the meantime, I guess I'll keep what I have, and keep living life the way that I do.
  6. Welcome

Alright, it's been quite some time since I've used the Tip.It Forums, and I see a lot has changed while I wasn't around paying attention. With this being my first blog post, I would like to introduce myself and welcome you to the blog.

I am Majinvegito3 (RSN is the same), and I enjoy spending my free time playing RuneScape and FunOrb. I'm planning on trying out War of Legends and MechScape/Stellar Dawn, whenever that is finally released. Through the years, I've been fairly quiet and reserved within the community, but I'm trying to open up more to things, and get more involved - more publically available. I'm currently 20 levels away from 2,376, the current max skill total, and I plan on reaching this goal in the near future (yes there will be a party).

I've had a long, yet fun night at work, so I think I'm going to wrap this first post up by saying I hope you get more insight into how I play the game the way that I do, and maybe get to know me as more of a person instead of a pixel.
