  1. Since when did that happen? Peope train at abbies with full guthans and slayer dart and even in full rune I always hit. I remember I used to always use mystic and people would chew me out saying I didn't need it. Guess it's good to know if I ever come back to playing/do barrows, lol.

His lack of use of the shortcut does disturb me though. I swear it takes 3x as long.

And thanks, azn. I really appreciate you looking...hopefully you can find it.

  2. My friend and I both retired quite a while ago from runescape. We both started back recently (somewhat at least) and my friend started doing barrows.

Among other things we disagreed on (him saying mage bonus helped slayer dart/not using the "In Search of the Myreque" shortcut), he also claims that kill count helps significantly with what drops you get.

I remember quite a while ago reading a topic where someone had done some highly extensive research on it...documenting what they got for hundreds and hundreds of trips, both getting a low kill count and a high.

Anyone happen to remember that post or one like it? If so, if you could link me to it, it'd b immensely appreciated.

  3. I'm at bandits right now...so I'm not gonna bother leaving to take a pic.

I generally go for the best mage defense so:

    Mystic boots//hat

    Full Black D Hide

    Zammy Cape and Elemental Shield

I also wear a RoL, glory, and carry a rune pick...with pouches and essence in inventory obviously.

  4. The Easter Madness TET event got crashed by TMRD (The Mighty Red Dragons). We were supposed to have a wildy egg fight using wind strikes, just for fun. We were near demonic ruins I believe, when they attacked us. The bad part is that they're a 110+ clan. That was a really low thing to do, and that clan has no honour. I mean, I was level 75, and I get attacked by a 115? What's the fun in that? Ruin somebody's fun? Eternal shame will rest in the home of TMRD.

Rofl. Do you actually think TMRD would waste their time going after you all? You probably just happened to be on the world they were on and they attacked you. More than their right to do so.

  5.

yer they did, i think i read somewhere that Corr recruited alot of their members im not sure
So Corr did benefit from DS' closing.

One of the best' date=' honourable clans out there[/quote']

    haha........you're funny.....

    Didn't like DS?
u think DS was that honorable just because they were #1 rank in F2P?

No...he thinks that because they were one of the most honorable? Ds anticrashed more fights than anyone else and there were rarely issues with members doing anything...and if there were they were quickly taken care of. Know your facts.

I remember when I first joined I'd hardly ever pked...I'd stand out in the open and wouldn't pray melee + use def buffer when piled, I'd try and eat and drag, lol. I'd also try and start my own piles instead of joining ko units...which would result in me getting a pile called on me soon thereafter.
Of course ur much better now, correct?

Been almost a year now, lol. I'd be a little sad if I wasn't. :wall:

  7.

Yeah. But it doesn't affect their record at all. Pking does help toward a rank but wars do more. For example, if two same ranked clans battle each other and one of them wins. That one will overtake the other one in rank.

    wth?

Pking doesn't help toward a rank at all...

Umm...go to RSC and look at how clans are actually ranked. It's based as much on, if not more so, PKRI's as wars.

  8. i think theres a post about this already

    d scim>d long in pking....course whip>d scim

    d scim>d long in str training...AND whip

    d long>d skim special attack

Basically. And a spec is never a reason to pick a weapon.

I maxed def long before I started with att and str (88 each when I had 99 def), so I've had to do str training. There's absolutely no comparison between a long and a scim...scim destroys it.

I've never used the anchor...I prefer the speed of the scim and the ability to use a defender with it.

  9. Yeah. But it doesn't affect their record at all. Pking does help toward a rank but wars do more. For example, if two same ranked clans battle each other and one of them wins. That one will overtake the other one in rank.

Not really, dude. Certain morons on RSC might get impressed for a day or two, but then when the clan gets continually beaten on PKRI's, their rank goes back down.

Ranks are about how good clans do consistently. If clan A just happens to beat clan B...certain people might rank them over clan B for a while...but it won't last long if they don't back it up in PKRI's.

  10.

Idk...you could pick a more original name. I mean...anyone who's heard of Pking could come up with it in like 5 seconds...and apparently have. Not saying you have to change...but it comes with the territory of having a common sounding name.

Many clans have common names. Like the "Dragon Slayers".. It's actually good to have a common name. People will remember and find your clan more by searching. But it takes a little extra work on the side..

Idk...distinctive names are better. Dragon slayers might be fine...but I guarantee you there's 100 of them in every game containing a dragon. I don't see many Echo of Silence's of Adelais' running around.

  11.

Well, the fact is that with DS closing, the most dominate f2p clan is DI, and they're p2p based.

So far as those who stay in f2p more...Cor is generally ranked 2nd behind DI now with DS's closing.

He means F2P based clans though.

Which is also answered...right there in my post.

  13. Clans don't go to war over another clan having the same world...at least not the smart ones. It's pointless for one, and signifies little more than the world the clan's members happen to congregate on. There's never been any conflict over it with the bigger clans.

EDIT: I posted the last time I was on this forum...a decent while ago, lol. By bad.

  14. Every clan starts out struggling and eventually grows and becomes stronger. When the Eos founders broke off from ZF, they were totally outnumbered and outmatched...but we grew. Growing in the proper way (slowly building up a solid member base) takes time.

You can always just mass recruit to quick growth...but almost all clans that do that end up dying soon thereafter.

  15. Tip.it has always been the skilling community. Majority of pking clans don't bother with it, and the majority of skillers don't go to rsc. Making skilling clans a little more apparent/available likely had a pretty decent impact on those interested in joining...which was probably a lot, since it appeals to the basic demographic of tip.it.

  16. I don't lead pks...and the majority of Eos (we're probably the 3rd oldest clan still alive) is so old and organized that not much happens aside from being sloppy occasionally, so mine are generally just personal mistakes.

  17. Operating under the unlikely assumption that rs is still around in 5-10 years...I don't think that clans will be as prevalent. Clans are losing strength as it is due to inactivity and because of an increasing number of people joining the "nh" craze. They'll always exist so long as rs is around...but I doubt with as strong of a force.

  18. Lol, the amount of responses and views on the topic on rsc/the fact that DS didn't even post here shows how the clan world in general feels about tip.it's clan section, lol. What are you gonna do though...

  19. oh yes it is. my order was in the wild today and I was all aloan at dark knights castle getting teemed by 2 guys. one of whome was an 84 and the other 70 somthing. I am only level 72 btw. so I orderd one of my squires to come asap he was level75. long story short we took them both out and I got full rune from the endever.

Gotta say that's a really bad example honestly. The amount of organization that requires is that the two of you pile the same person/turn offensive prayers on at the same time to help get a ko.

The rest of the post is legit...but two people at the black knight castle isn't.

  20. As a mod on other forums myself, I'm forced to disagree. All you have to do is to move it and post saying that it was moved and not to do it again. Locking threads is pointless and does little more than to irritate all those involved. If we pulled this bs on my clan forums, people would get mad and tell the mods to stop being idiots and to just use some common sense and move the topics.
