Did Jagex say any estimates of how long the servers will be down?
I wanted to dungeoneer with a friend of mine... bleh...
I hope it will be fixed by tomorrow.
None of the quotes I have seen have given any indication of a time scale.
Edit: When major things go wrong it's hard to give a realistic time scale.

I'm glad I finally made a tip.it account, Jagex really seem to have messed up their entire site at the moment.
(currently trying to get on-line on RS client, Chrome, and on forums, all failing at the moment)
They probably cant add a main page message. I'm sure they would if they could.

What I suggest adding to the guide:
Bob often hangs out in one of 2 locations, and provided there has not been a system update recently he can usually be found in either one by switching worlds a couple of times.
1) The section East of Draynor Manor grounds, West of the river Lum, North of the starters fence.
2) Death Plateau
Why?
I could explain why it happens if you request it, but for now I'm just posting the locations I found Bob in today on all 88 of the English speaking worlds. (Excluding W44 as it was offline)
36 Bobs -- Death Plateau
32 Bobs -- East of Manor
9 Bobs ---- North West of Goblin Village
6 Bobs ---- Catherby Fletching shop
2 Bobs ---- Catherby Docks
1 Bob ----- Seers Anvil
1 Bob ----- Fally farm Loom room.

3 things,
1: Question: Are the last 3 locations always the Mjolnir ones? listing those separately at the end would make it easier if they are.
2. Lumbridge Swamp location should have this on it "NOTE: May dig up Zombie head from a past Halloween event first."
3. The minimaps can be hard to see exactly where they are taken, so I have listed the co-ords for the locations here.
Each location is a grid 9*9 big, the co-ordinates given are for the centre of the grids, for use with the tip.it treasure locator

Hi, Is there anyway to launch the Tip.it Treasure Locator with pre-typed in co-ordinates?
So when it pops up it will be pointing at a location specified in the URL launching it.

Hi, on the clue "Four blades I have, ...."
It now says "Six blades I have, ..."
I guess this happened when HD came out.
I can post a copy of the clue if you want.

Whenever I log onto these forums using firefox I get logged off after a few seconds.
I have not installed any add ons, and only downloaded it about 1 month ago.
Anyone know what going on?

Hi, it seems to be missing a couple of words. It says
Items: 1 edible food item (either bring ghast protection or at least 2 food items in case 1 gets rotted by ghasts), 11 planks, Swamp paste, hammer, 2 Steel bars, 1 Mithril bar, 1 Silver bar, 1 Coal, 1 Cut Sapphire, about 20 nails of any metal, Pickaxe, Spade, Pot(less buckets work, but are slower), Bronze axe, 4 Tinderboxes, Silver sickle(B) (from nature spirit), a rope, a Soft clay and 1 Cosmic Rune and 1 water runebut I think it should say the following (Changes in bold and underlined)

I have never tried SS. Quite frankly, from what I've read here, after it has been updated, I think I will give it a try.
When I play RS, I always have another browser with Tip.It forum, Tip.it Site on some guide, world map, fairy rings map, calculator (sometimes 2), notepad and what have you open. It would be nice to see some of these things combined. I don't understand what is so terrible about the tool.
However, Jagex really should put some time into exploring the fanmade stuff and endorse the good things. I don't see why they spend so much time on their knowledge bases, when they could just acknowledge some fan sites (e.g. by giving Fansite of the Month rewards or something like that).
Even after the update, we will continue wondering if Jagex really is OK with SS. They will never do an official statement for this and we will never be really, exclusively sure, never ending this discussion. Jagex should work together with the fansites. This could only prove to be advantageous for both sides and the players, who would be guided away from the nasty keylogging stuff.
The first line you wrote is where Jagex have made the massive error. They do not recomend using ANY 3rd party software, but this whole incident has made people more likly to use them, when they were aiming to get less people to use them.
I stand by my origional assumption that it must give an advantage to playing RS else banning it would not have got such an outcry, so must be against the rules.
And no, I will not try it, but saw several of the rants complaining that banning it made parts of the game harder. Those players clearly have used it and think that it gives them an in-game advantage.
(Any in-game advantage must be unfair, as those not using it dont have it)

Personally I think it is clear from the amount of rioting that occured that those 3rd party softwares must give some form of ingame advantage and are hence still and always will be against rule 7.
(The very first line: You must not use other programs to gain an unfair advantage in the game)

Jagex explained why they will not make any more tradeable holiday items in an article dated December 03, if you want to look back though to find it.
I think they missed the 'o' off due to the limit on names of items. I have noticed that vambraces are called Vambs so I assume thats the rough limit they have.
