  1. Hello all,

I've been trying to finish the Nomad's Requim quest and I've come up against a wall. As I was trying to fight him as per a guide here, I found the battle getting reset twice.

The first time it didn't occur to me what was happening, but I got through all three "special moves" of the nomad, and then suddenly he dropped the bombs again. I went through this AND the next two special moves again. I was waiting for him to start the rapid melee portion (waiting for the second time) and he dropped the bombs again. I thought to myself "what the heck?" and went behind a pillar and logged out.

At no time did he get to the point of a HP reset. I was fighting him the whole time.

Did anyone else experience this and does anyone see anything I've done wrong?

    Thanks,

    Dantioine

  2. Like a lot of people who've posted, I frequently switched to a quiet world to do any wilderness trips (mostly treasure trails). But to be honest, I always felt like I was taking the easy way out.

I'm sure I will get killed more frequently now, but the wilderness was supposed to be a challenge. At least now there's no way of skirting around it.

Although I like the general idea, the revenants are still way overpowered. Being challenging is one thing, but these things are more than that. I hope they reduce the damage some.

  3. These revenants are so [bleep] gay. THey are no [bleep] replacement of pkers. I've never encountered any [bleep] pker that hard. Everytime i go into the wilds to mine rune, I get attacked by 3 [bleep] revenants on the way up, it never fails to happen. I run into altar, 20 seconds later a [bleep] knight walks in and hits 36 on me and I nearly die.

This is bs, I've never ever seen 36 damage in 1 hit in my life on rs. Always been f2p, FFS if it want's to hit 36, empower me with some [bleep] weapons Jagex! SO i can hit back as hard and ice barrage.

Ew! he's from the RSOF! Lynch him!

F2p'ers can use the official forums! Wow! :-w

If there really causing that much trouble, just go out and kill them. Some type of range weapon and hides along with an inven full of food makes short work of them. Then you can rc in peace. I woulden't be complaining when there is no more risk to rcing through the abyss thanks to the abolishment of the widly and rc pkers, along with gravestones of course.

Apparently you haven't gone up against these. They are not easy unless you are fighting them with your own group. They really are over-powered.

  4. The revenants are harder than actual pkers.

I have to agree with the statement about the revenants. The first day I wandered around just to see what it was like and whenever I got attacked by these things, I would get hit for a 20. And the speed of their attack seemed very fast. I can't imagine getting teamed by these. Their range attack seemed extra long also.

I think these need to be toned down just a bit. I can't really see the wild being very useful as it is. Since you can't be pked anymore, maybe they should remove the teleport restrictions.

  5. With 75 Agility, it took me about 5 tries before the change. The first time I did it using the suggestion of taking one step at a time, I made it all the way across.

After I did the quest, I hung out and killed the Skeleton Fremmys just seeing how many people made it. Over a two hour stretch, I saw maybe 10 people make it across.

I'm soooo glad I did it quickly!

  6. I don't know about Shades, but I was using it on the Vampires that are West of the Burgh de Rott, and it seemed to hit pretty good. Nothing spectacular and mind you, I didn't have any special items on other than full rune and a Glory Ammy.

I was wondering why it was given to us. Shades... never would have guessed that.

    :P
