  1. What happens to a locked item if you die from a monster out of the wilderness while you're wearing/carrying it?

Edit: Sorry, didn't see the part where you said "any locked items are kept"

Okay, but the reason people don't wear barrows armour etc is because they are afraid they'll lose it over a less expensive item. What happens then?

  2. I'm confused at why anything would have a 30% chance at killing anything in one hit. Three people in multicombat with this armour all using their specials at once, would have a 90% chance of killing somebody in one hit. Also, anyone with half a brain could stay and alch at the mage arena lever, or at the edge of edgeville wilderness, and have a quick hit everytime their special bar filled. Kind of silly :).

    *cough*

7/10 chance of not killing ^3 = 343/1000. Thus the CHane of killing is 65.7 percent not 90 rofl

No, it's 30 percent for every person. If everyone does it at the same time, it's 90 percent.

  3. with the spear, you say that its special attack has a 30% chance of killing an enemy in ONE hit! thats crazy, if that weapon were to be released then people would be dieing left and right in the wilderness and when staking in the duel arena you have a automatic 30% chance of winnin, even when facing an opponent twice as good as you.

not to mention pkers in the wilderness and people near the mage arena would have to become alot more cautious, inturn making runescape scarier

Sorry for the double post - but if you had read the whole thread, you would have read that the threadmaker was considering making that special NPC, or even dragon only.

  4. And the point of hitting someone with stun three times in a row is? The effect does not stack, so it would be a wasted special.

EDIT: Gah! I forgot to put in the original post that stuns have a chance to fail. Gah!

Stun doesn't need to stack, but simply be used at the right time. With three people using it, you could effectively stun somebody for 36 seconds if they timed it perfectly.

But, now that they have a chance to fail, that point is moot.

  5. I don't think this is as bad as the 0o0o0o0 problem. If you are trying to report someone, and 1 space doesnt work, just try 2 spaces, and so on.

The 0o0o0o0o0 thing was much worse, because there were many more combinations to go through to try to get the right one.

As for the highscores. I personally don't like other people randomly looking up my skills. Its my business, not yours. I'm not a staker, and I understand how its a good tool for them, but I still find it annoying.

Exactly.

Okay, so what if someone's name was:

    "E X A M P L E" or

    "N A M E"

Perhaps without a sarcastic reply, or flame ;).

  6. ^^ I kind of agree with post above. Runescape is totally a combat-oriented game. Every single skill relates to making combat easier. Lookg at mining, it's to make bars to make into armor which is to be used for fighting. Fishing- fish to be cooked to be used in combat training, herblore, making pots that help combat.

It all leads back to combat, which is the main focus of Runescape.

    Firemaking.

    Thieving.

  7. Musket=genious

Im not so sure about the 30% instant ko like 4gotmypass said, sounds pretty cheap. (you could kill anyone instantly regardless of their levels, armor etc, so long as youve done the quest and have the armor and weapon?)

    But otherwise, looks really cool.

I am thinking about making the instant KO special unique to NPCs only...maybe even Dragons only. Each set will feature 2 normal specials and a third unique (NPC only) special that relates to that specific profession (Hunters have a KO on wild beasts, Cleric on demons, etc.)

Alright, three people in this armour will be able to stun an opponent for 36 seconds. Who can survive 36 seconds without being able to eat, especially when your opponents have ridiculously overpowered armour?

  9. "All Jagox employees have gotten together to form an idea for an update which we hope will thrill you all. At every general store, there is a new item - "Magical Stick of Doom." This weapon costs 12 gold pieces, and is wieldable at level 1 attack.

This new weapon has a strength bonus of +1500, and has +2000 in stab, crush, and slash attack bonus.

We were receiving complaints about higher levels being too hard to defeat for lower levels, hopefully this weapon will make an all-round more balanced game.

Some other complaints we received included most skills being hard work, we decided to introduce a lever that when pulled, will give 5,000,000 experience points in your choice of any skill. We hope this isn't too difficult for anybody.

By the way, Party hats are untradable."

  10. How about instead of splitting, have all of the.. let's use your scenario.. feathers in two slots. Eg. You have 44000 feathers in your fletching AND fishing slots. If you take 2000 feathers out of your fletching slot, you'll have 42000 feathers in your fletching and fishing slots.

This would be helpful for outfits such as pking and barrows outfits, I use more expensive items for each and it isn't easy to get two to split between each slot

  11. Can't park there Dave - Friend crashed car onto middle of roundabout.

I laughed out loud at that one

I have saying that some of my friends and I started recently using.. sort of.. well, like a.. I dunno what it's called.

Whenever someone says "you suck." The other one would say "only if you ask nicely :)."

  12. Anyone with half a brain would have realised that LONG JOKE + Someone encouraging you to read it all = pointless ending?

It was an awesome story.. And I cracked up at the ending... rofl.

People need to get a sense of humor ffs... Get over it.. if you're reading a joke, of course you're wasting time. But you'd probably be wasting time if you didn't read the joke.

  13. I read about a quarter of that, but couldnt be bothered reading the rest.

To me a mmorpg is just like a ordinary game. I dont see why it should be in a class on its own.

Whats the difference between a mmorpg and a console game.

loads and loads of people play games, yet u say that playing mmorpg's are bad?

Im not overweight, or underweight... im not considered a geek at all but i still play mmorpg's because its just the kind of game i like playing. Theres no other reason. I suppose i like playing mmorpgs because you get to interact with people around the world who have different personalities. Thats what makes it fun.

On consoles games like final fantasy and fable. These games are exactly like mmorpgs in everyway yet mmorpgs are in a different class as they are. The only difference is that your playing by yourself and there is no interaction with real people.

I know what im writng may not be making much sense to some people but thats just my views.

You should read the whole thing before you try and argue "against" it.

  14. An object on f2p called "Members object" was always untradable. ALWAYS. There was no "bug". Members items were also always unwielded on free servers. Why did you make up that story?

Yes, I was around when members came out

Yes, I speak nothing but the truth

Yes, you don't have any idea what you're talking about.

    Thanks.
