  1. Wow.... Wow, thanks for that! I was really struggling with your first post about stupid people and their stupid parents and how they are stupidly slowing down stupid evolution so our species becomes more stupid and our stupid government is allowing these stupid people to survive... But thank you. And are you telling me that stupid people negativley effect the "gene pool" whereas disabled people like those with down syndrome and other disabilitating factors that can be passed down from generation to generation are not? Ok. This really is going over your head isn't it? Stupid and disabled are two different animals. Stupid people lack common sense. They do things without conscious consideration of its consequences. Now, I do not have the time, patience or desire to explain genetics to you, but I'll give you simple version. Having been the parent of two terminally ill children diagnosed with Infantile Tay-Sachs Disease (genetic lipid acid enzyme storage disorder) who passed away in 1998, I became educated in genetics. I went on a path of education that many parents go on when they are handed the news their children are dying, and there is nothing modern medical science can do about it, praying doesn't help either by the way. I would have sold my soul to the Devil to save my little girls. Anyway, EVERY human being on the face of the Earth has an AVERAGE of 12 recessive genes within their DNA. Think of those court TV shows where they show you that long clear skinny tape, with the series of two dark lines (DNA). You get one gene from your father, and one from your mother. Those two strands of DNA make up that chromosome that makes you the unique person you are. Now everyone has an average of 12 recessive genes. A recessive gene is an unformed strand that you got from either your mother or father, who got it from one of theirs etc. These genes get passed on over and over generation after generation sometimes, before it pops up. It pops up by you having a baby with someone who just happens to have that same genetic trait. Then you as a couple now have a 1 in 4 chance in having both of your dominant genes for that chromosome come together, and the baby is completely normal, in fact that trait for your family line stops there. (unless you have more children of course), a 1 in 4 chance in the baby having the disease for which that particular trait is known for (both of your recessive genes coming together), and 2 in 4 chances that the baby will be just a genetic carrier of the trait (one recessive from one of you, and one dominant from the other). This is much easier to draw on a board, and I have lectured on this many times. So diseases that are genetic in nature, have been around a long time, and have been passed on for generations. NO one in my entire family history (well as far back as 12th century anyway, my mom has spent most of her life doing the family tree as a hobby) is there a record of Tay-Sachs disease. No where in my wife̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s (ex now) history was there record of such. In fact it is so rare, that only 20 children worldwide get it each year. We were the third couple in history to have two back to back. We were 8 months pregnant with the second daughter, when the first started having seizures....took two months for them to figure out what she and her new sister had. Disabilities that make one wheelchair bound, and special children born with genetic disorders are not STUPID. STUPID is lack of common sense, like the gas guy lighting a match inside a methane tank for illumination. Please tell me you understand the difference, if not, my fingers hurt from trying to explain it, and I have now lost the desire to do so. Peace.
  2. Wow....if you can not differentiate between someone being stupid (lack of common sense) and physically disabled.......you might need to seek professional help. Someone being dumb enough to ride a high speed open air vehicle without safety devices...and someone needing a wheelchair...big difference.....the inference to government reversing evolution was a dry humored poke at reality. Handicapped does not make you stupid. I really hope you understand the difference. internet search for darwins awards.....these are perfect examples of STUPID people. They removed themselves from the human gene pool due to their own incredible stupidity. I was making a point of how we are ensuring the stupid people survive, thus continuing to lower the collective gene pool, thus in a sense...*poke* reversing evolution (continued forward progression of a species)...if this was to much for you to comprehend, I don't think I can dumb it down much more. :uhh: Nadril: I understand and agree with you that accidents happen, I just don't agree that mcdonalds should have been held acountable for her lack of good judgement. If I go to Home Depot and grab a can of paint thinner, open it on the way out of the store, trip and spill it on my shoes, and my toes get chemical burns....I don't think I should be able to sue them.....or that they should have to have a sign that says, dont pour on your toes.....when are we as a society going to step up to the plate, and be accountable for our mistakes, rather then quickly look around for someone else to blame, and sadly, someone to sue? I do however concede your point that their coffee was allegedly substantially hotter then most.....but if you go through anyones drive through, order a cup of HOT coffee, open it and dump it on your nether region...you are gonna get burned....as it isnt designed or intended for you to do so...whether their coffee was 105 or 145 degrees, its not supposed to be dumped on your lap. Neither is paint thinner designed to go on your toes. Whether that brand of thinner was more caustic then most is irrelevent, it isnt designed to be dumped on your toes, and you cant have a sign warning against every dumb thing people will do, so you shouldn't be sued for it.
  3. no worries Adam. I agree that a lot of OT'ers seem to enter each thread with fist balled up and chips on both shoulders, set in their ways and bound and determined not to open up their closed little minds to take a peek at another perspective.....and I may very well be one as well. I recognize that fact, and have decided to lighten up just a tad....or try lol. So it is understandable when ppl see a thread in Offtopic by me, they could assume it was serious, aggressive and a bit harsh. :uhh:
  4. Maybe I would have read it in a different light if you preempted it saying you intended on it being sarcastic or funny. Because I didn't really see any sarcasm worth noting, unless the whole thing was sarcastic. And nothing was really funny to me, except the organ donor reference. But eh, I took it the wrong way. I replied seriously to what I thought was a serious thread. I haven't noticed any trend to your posts like you mentioned, but be sure I'll take your advice and not take other stuff you write seriously. Back to the issue (walking a thin line here...am I crossing back into being serious?), I do agree that the government can be overprotective, and that there definitely should be much more self accountability enforced than there is now. hehe fair enough Adam, fair enough. If you have seen me stalking around the topics, I normally come across as a A-type, (according to some...arrogant) law enforcing, rule following serious person who enters most threads with an informed opinion and a bit of an attitude. Trying to lighten up that perception ( :XD: ) I wrote a tongue in cheek thread, that personally, I thought was pretty funny....maybe I need to re-evaluate that....hehe...perhaps I didn't articulate it well enough to make the humor easy to understand...anyway, I will make sure I put *sarcasm* at the beginning and end of these type of threads if I do another, so you can identify it as such
  5. McDonalds was also serving their coffee much hotter than any other food chain. I'm not saying she wasn't stupid but she did have a legit case. Also to be honest I didn't read your OP. I was responding to highlander. I like my coffee hot, but I don't drive over speed bumps with it clutched between my legs while I remove the lid to add cream and sugar...but thats just me. So because she defied common sense and logic, we all get our coffee "x" amount of degrees colder now and they had to cough up millions between paying her off, and issuing signs and reprinting their cups to reflect a "contents hot" disclaimer.....sad really. Do I weep for big "M"? nah, they have more money then Mrs Krok and her entire family can ever spend in 20 lifetimes.....I guess I just hate frivilous lawsuits. Like the big million dollar one being placed by a judge (think in NY) because the cleaners lost his pants.....million dollars for a lost pair of pants.....he should be placed in Jail and disbarred just for bogging down an already overbooked, backlogged system for his dumb lawsuit, but thats the country I love so much, Litigation capital of the world. Now if she bought an iced coffee, and spilled it on herself, and it was actually a boiling hot cup of coffee, not what she ordered, sue away. She got what she ordered...a hot cup of coffee. They shouldnt be held responsible if she dumps it on her head or other body parts....its not bath oil.
  6. :XD: dude, you took that WAY to seriously. That is what we in the adult world call SARCASM, a TONGUE IN CHEEK poke at society. I gather you have never read any of my posts before, don't get much more pro-government, pro USA then me. I was poking fun at how we must protect the stupid, and how it is making society evermore....um..."gifted". Take a walk through a tourist trap, um, I mean entertainment park and take a gander at the people you walk by. Responsibility to make us safe...yeah I agree and disagree. I don't think Mcdonald's should have lost that multi million dollar lawsuit because some STUPID old lady poured hot coffee onto her genitals when driving through the drive thru, and trying to put sugar in it, while navigating her car over the speed bump. That was Mcdonald's fault? so now they have warnings..."Becareful contents are hot!" ...REALLY? #-o . Or how the makers of plastic bags have to print in large letters..."Not a toy, do not give to babies or toddlers!"....no you don't say :wall: .......or how they have to print "not a food" on the moisture absorbent chemical bags they put inside containers, so someone doesnt eat it and sue, which happened obviously, because now there is a warning... .."don't insert hand while mower is running" sign ....it goes on and on. Does the human gene pool need a little chlorine added to it now and again? yup, but do I really want people to die a painful death because they are stupid? no....it's called humor......a laugh at how we function in society, and how the government has to put laws into affect to protect us from the obvious. wasn't that serious dude...lighten up, share a laugh, or move onto another thread...in essence, get over it.
  7. hmmmmmmmm was my sarcastic thread to much? did it fly over some heads? *reevaluates* hehe cheers
  8. Government intervention has reversed evolution, and is creating an increasingly stupid population. The world is methodically being dumbed down by government efforts to protect us from stupid people. Stupid drivers don't recognize the dangers of speed, so they drive too fast and kill themselves. The government regulates speed, so now more stupid drivers survive. Stupid automobile passengers get killed because they don't buckle their seat belts. Government steps in and makes seat belt usage mandatory, so now more stupid passengers survive. Stupid pedestrians don't know enough to not step out into a busy street, so they get injured and killed trying to cross the street. The government makes laws giving them the right-of-way, so now more stupid pedestrians survive. Stupid parents don't recognize the value of childhood inoculations. The government makes them vaccinate their children before entering school, so now more children of stupid people survive. Stupid motorcyclists don't recognize the danger of riding without a helmet, so government makes helmets mandatory, so now more stupid motorcyclists survive. But stupidity begets stupidity, so we are being overwhelmed by a tsunami of stupidity. The tsunami is triggered by the government protection of stupid people, which allows them to survive to reproduce. In 1891, Herbert Spencer wrote, "The ultimate result of shielding men from folly is to fill the world with fools." Like the helmet law, in Florida, it was fought hard by a prominant biker, and he won. No longer is helmets required in Florida. Two months later, he died in a motorcycle accident, sans helmet, in a low speed accident that medical personnel said was highly survivable if only he had worn a helmet....too bad *wipes tear* I hand him a "darwin's award" My theory is you should have the choice to be stupid, want to run across the freeway during high traffic times? feel free, we will provide the shovel to scrape you up with at no charge to your family. Want to refuse to wear a seatbelt? no problem, but when you are thrown out of a car while it is cartwheeling down the road...don't expect a lot of sympathy, or medical care from your insurance company or hospital. Yeah, I am okay with primary care being given, but long term therapy and ongoing care? nah, you wanted to be a tough guy....you are on your own. You pay for it. Why should the tax payer pay for your stupidity and refusal to follow safety laws? As a reserve Police officer, I get a lot of behind the scenes time with accidents, and emergency care personnel. Want to know what we call motorcycle riders who don't wear helmets? Organ donors. Know what we call motorcycle riders who wear helmets? Identifiable organ donors. Want to live life on the edge? your right....jump on that rice rocket and fly by me at 100+, sooner or later you will um....stop. Thats why we don't sweat it when we are chasing a biker, inevitably he will lay it down, or hit an object that will teach him laws of physics....we break out the shop vac, and notify his family. Some accidents (hi speed) helmet or not your dead, but a lot of brain injuries happen from low speed laydowns....that could be prevented by wearing that uncool helmet....no worries, enjoy eating food and moving around via a straw you blow into. Anyone have a stupid story you wish to share?
  9. awesome! someone finally has the solution to end this worldwide problem!...waits with bated breath....and the solution is??????? maybe huggs all around? you are right though that 9/11 happened because of our over involvement in foreign problems...what were we thinking....we should have done like the rest of the world, pretend all those atrocities are not happening, look the other way, and continue to just enjoy our lives in blissful ignorance, who cares about all that murdering, slavery and human rights issues...their problem, I agree actually, I think we should just build back up to a 600+ ship navy, patrol our waters and let the rest of the world go straight to....well wherever. ...and oh by the way Hohto, HUNDREDS of thousands have died before we got involved, easy to forget that, wouldnt be convenient to making USA out to be the great evil empire that you insist we are. on down in the thread, some helpless lad said or inferred we are their for resources...if we were, we wouldhave just leveled it, and planted a few oil drills...so much easier. come on now, educate thyself, then open the pie hole. and these poor families that hohto so generously refers to, who "lost loved ones" they dont quite put the same value to life as we do, when a father proudly sports his 4 yo son and daughter wrapped in fake (and real) high explosives and poses for a picture in a parade....a bit different, when that couple last month, parked their car in front of the police station, and walked away with their children still in the back seat (so police wouldnt investigate the abandoned car) and it blew up 2 mins later....just gives you an insight to the pure madness and lack of consideration for life, including their own children..what kind of sick ^%$# does that to his kids, one level above caveman, that is who. Are their innocent casualties? absolutely, collateral damage occurs in every conflict, but they are killing ten times more of these "innocent" people then we are. I love how they hide like cowards behind women and children, and fire RPGs at us, knowing we won't fire back....that doesnt make the news though huh. Why dont you pack up your stuff and move over there, see how much you respect and love those people you picket about so insistently. Do you accept that kind of things? as long as it prevents another 9/11 So you'd be perfectly willing to allow yourself or a family member to be subjected to the same treatment if the government randomly decided that you/they could potentially be a terrorist eventhough there is no evidence to suggest it? I doubt it. Ah, you see, that is where you are wrong. It is not random, if they take someone to prison they have some reason, it may not be concrete, but they have some reason to suspect that person. if they took me, hey i know im not a terrorist so i have nothing to fear. the way i see it is that most of the world wants us to just open up gauntanomo and let all of the people in there (including the 95% that are terrorists) walk free. does anyone seem to remember the repercussions After 9/11? how the government was massivly investigated so they could shed the blame on them? well now when OUR government is doing what it needs to do to keep more people from dying they are getting blamed again! dont talk to me about Why we went to war in Iraq, that is irrelevent now. right now we need to concentrate on finishing what we started. the reason we arent going to pull out and let them settle it is the fact that the shietes and the sunnies will kill thousands of each other. we are the only thing keeping that from happening. Well, you're not particularly doing a good job of that are you... they're still doing it. The issue we have is the whole philosophy of "sentance without trial". If your government is so adament they're terrorists, then why can't you hold them at Guantanamo only while they're waiting for a trial? In fact, why can't you hold them at any other cell while they await their trial, and just get rid of the controversy of Guantanamo? We don't have a problem with you hunting down terrorists inside your own country - what we have a problem with is holding people in cells without having a fair trial just like any other crime requires. ah poor ginger...you know what, you're right, we should just behead them like they do our citizens, I am ALL about an eye for and eye. How about that? Would that make you feel better? They have only the rights of the Geneva convention, and actually, since I don't even think they signed off on that (obviously not if they are beheading us on video) then they shouldnt get any consideration in return, but alas, in America, we love to tie our own hands behind our backs with all of our lofty ideals, made by civilians behind tables in Washington, before they go on their 3 day weekend....nothin better then a non combatant, tellng you how to wage war against barbarians. Wow, that is some harsh torture, sleep deprivation.....rock music...hope they survive it, maybe we should use some of the OTHER stuff the world always uses against our soldiers when they are captive...oh no that would'nt be right, what was I thinking. We got to continue to do the "right" thing, only our enemies can do whatever they want without fear of political reprisals. How many of their soldiers I wonder did they imprison or behead for breaking the "rules of engagement"?...ZERO!....you always have rule breakers, the difference is we actually hold ours accountable.
  10. rofl...and I thought when I got dragon legs on my very first bronze dragon while slaying...was lucky...that is just sick. gratz and enjoy your spoils
  11. Well let us think about this...should be obvious..100% drop 5 mith bars and bones, then most likely still the standard metal dragon rare drops of dragon legs, skirt, and visage and now the full helm for it's special high drop. Outside of that, I doubt anything uber wonderful. Look long term, they have released iron, steel and mith...hmmmm now what could be down the road.... addy and rune dragons maybe?.......Now going along with RS thought process....Dragon boots will come from a high level slayer monster (most likely 95 slayer requirment) as all metal boots come from slayer.....Maybe the pick will come from the addy Dragon, and pl8 from rune Dragons...2010 RS release rofl..... Now it takes me one minute to melee two irons to the ground, 2-3 mins for steel....I bet Mithril will be a real joy....about 5 mins?.....with the standard rare drop rate.....I used to get an average of 1-2 dragon drops a week when I trained everynight on irons.....but with the slow theoretical kill of a mithril....couple weeks at 3 hours a night? hmmmm time will tell.
  12. unusualy for me, I slayed (on task) 3k+ abbies over a 3 week period, with no whip drops, then got 2 45 abbies apart, then another the next assignment :) maybe the drought is over. *sacrifices another wannabe pker to the Goddess of luck...chants...dances...hopes she is pleased* :XD:
  13. woot, well I hope to be as lucky with the full dragon helm Maybe I'll actually be there to bask in the gold for once :P
  14. got one....same affect as black mask if on task tho 15% attk and str right?
  15. Hey buddy, just trying to follow your lead hehe. 3 slayer levs so far *gag* taking forevvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvver
  16. Well this tired old combat jockey decided a month ago to hit the road towards 99 slayer. I analyzed what would be helpful, like kerils p++ for slaying Kalphites (i do the level 141 guardians...btw, got 3 half keys out of the last 17 I just killed lol) black mask, Guthans set, recharged my 8 crystal bow seeds, gathered up a bunch of seconds and made some pots (prayer, super str, super attks, super anti poisons) and rune defender. So anyway, was done with my list of things to do except the rune defender, read the guide, donned my guthans, brought whip and tzhaar shield, grabbed one of my spare sets of rune armor and rubbed my games to swagger into the warrior's guild. (I alch every rune drop except the 2 sets of rune everything I keep for uri emotes from clues...sigh, takes up an awful lot of bank space) anyway, I run into the animator room, slap up the rune armor set, and wack it to the floor for about 10 minutes until I get around 700 of the token thingys, go up to the top floor, and start slapping cyclops around with wild abandon....3rd kill...*blinks*..bronze defender....about 12 more, iron, etc, I got all the defenders including rune in under 1 hour....I was wearing wealth (heard that helps here dramatically) and when I got done I still had 280 tokens. so is it that fast and easy for everyone, or did this usually unlucky old man finally get a nod from the RS goddess of luck? Yeah you got lucky old man: 40 Nah, it's that easy for everyone, get over it: 5 Gratz from friends: 2 confusing reply: 2 :)
  17. hmmm, 4 mil and some change in cash, about 20 mil in items I guess, over 122 mil in exp....so obviously exp :) *beams* Money has never been a big motivator for me, if I need it, I make it. *points to 91 wc, 98 fletch and 95 magic...love hi-alch) and slayer drops nicely to "pay the bills". If I need something, like last week I made the decision to go for 99 slayer, and I knew I needed guthans for that. So I spent three days making nats, stringing and alching unstrung bows that had been sitting in my bank collecting dust for ages.....made a quick 8.5 mil, bought guthans and scampered off happily to slay. Have absolutely no desire to spend months, merchanting, staking or barrowing just so I can make someone instantly rich, by buying his several hundred million gp colored paper burger king hat, so I can stand around alching in front of bank so everyone can walk by and say "nice phat, can I have some money?". Would much rather spend those hours working on....oh I dont know...stats :) But to each their own \
  18. hehe ya didnt figure ....was a nice thought though
  19. Well I am down here slaying black demons in Taverly dungeon, and had a  ....if you look up khrabwan paste poison, it says can be used on any spear....hmmm guthans warspear is a spear 8-) But I have never seen a poisoned guthans spear so I assume it can not be done for some reason....I will try anyway when I get out of this dungeon/done with this task....but does anyone know? anyone ever tried?
  20. sellin ranger set for 2.5 mil when it was worth that, deploying to Iraq for 8 months, coming back to find out they are 7 mil!...*cries*
  21. well, I figure I'll get one eventually. I am training slayer straight to 99, went from 85 to 88 in 3 weeks (11k fm 88 now, will have tonight) and i do drags now only on task from slayer master. My thought is drag boots will be released sometime, most likely from a level 95 slayer required monster, and I intend to be there for the gravy train :) visage...it will be nice ot have, and I'll get one on the way to 99 I am sure.
  22. hm well ihave zero desire for overpriced paper hat status symbols...but to pick 126 when it is only one level away would seeem foolish, so the smart answer is phats, sell and use for stats :)
  23. Well I it seems to rain half keys as I train slayer...I get prob a half a day on average (sometimes 3 in a day, sometimes none, you get the picture) and I have to agree with you.....80% of the time..it is a loop. But it has been that way since I started playing and getting them. I trained from 68 combat to 124 at death plateau on trolls, 100k worth a night (exp) and usually got a half key a day, at one point I had 138 loops (I had used whatever teeth I got to make keys of course)....this was mid 2005 until now, just think it is higher probability to get loop, dont know why that is...but it seems to be a fact. EDIT: currently have 8 loops lol
  24. Oy. -.- Back to General P2P. And yet, you so bodly declared "religion will be the downfall of mankind". Stop avoiding the issue. If you think your opinion might be wrong, admit it. If not, then at least defend yourself. (1) Why does this always happen? Seriously, are you the guys that don't let me pass you on a two lane road simply because it'll damage your pride?(2) :| Great monologue. Unneccessary, but good. (3)Tad arrogant and annoying, which you might want to tone down considering being humble is the general rule. Hehehe. Hehe... No^. Then don't talk about it :| . Ah, the good ol' perfectly condensending end remark "deal with it". Cute. Let it go. No one likes to hear it, so try not to use it. (1) rofl...fail to defend myself...moi? muhahahahahaha, thats refreshing, I usually get accused of being too passionate about subjects...I stand behind my remarks. Each and every one. (2) depends, in my civilian car I am generally driving fast enough where people do not feel the need to pass me (A-type, can you tell?)....and if they do, I might just flick on my blue LEDs and pull you over, call an on duty unit, and ensure you enjoy your ticket...because I can :XD: (3) "Tad arrogant and annoying, which you might want to tone down considering being humble is the general rule."...said I was arrogant, which part of that were you unable to understand..was it the big words? Did I not articulate myself well? Humble....lol...no one has ever accused me of that, I work hard to be the best, and revel in it. That may be your general rule, I just stash those feeling in the same sad sack I stash religious stupidity....for the weak. You would love my work siggie that attaches to my emails, after the 11 lines of titles, it says "Results, Not excuses". Deal with it.
  25. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=670342 Read that thread and think again what's terrorism and what's war against it. Is it war against terrorism when you're doing the same thing as your enemies are doign to you? Don't put words into my mouth. Even you said it yourself that at the moment you wouldn't be able to take over Iran. Also if you need 40% of your soldiers to even be in those countries, how can you even think of starting a full land war against Iran? (5) The point isn't that you haven't reduced them. The point is that the reduces are ridicilous. This world isn't any safer place when it can be destroyed x-2 times where x is a big number. Even reducing yours and Russia's nukes to half wouldn't be anything else than a good start.(6) (1) How is it different.....my god man, you are kidding right? We are not islamic radicals.....we are supportive of and highly encourage democratic type societies...because people have rights, better lives, dont have to live in fear of having religious police throw acid in their face, etc etc etc....they support and train terrorists.....no comparison. (2) wouldnt affect it much, we use different planes for bombing in Iraq...mostly carrier based, and some land based of course. But we have a lot of planes that we are not using...long range bombers specifically. (3) You are correct, Iran is modern, Iraq and AFGH are not. The point I was making is with Iran, it is an easily identified enemy, disrupting and destroying their capabilities isnt hard, when compared to the endless freaking job of peeking under every ones skarf in Iraq. Extreme high altitude bombing of easy to see via satelitte buildings and military base structures versus kicking in every door in Iraq.....see my point? (4) only if we intended to go in afterwards with ground troops, which would obviously be dumb. Break the point off their spear from the sky, not try to remove it from their hands physically. (5) A large land based campaign isnt even conceivable at this point, nothing to do with breaking it off so they can not strike militarily though. (6) I am with you there, nothing cool, or funny about the thought of nuclear war. The point we are makng is large established accountable regimes can use them as cold war deterrents, small ideological, extreme governments, who think if they kill ten million infidels in a fiery ball ensures them ever lasting happiness in Allah's lap, concerns us, they dont have the "maturity" not to use them. To bad we can not wave a wand and make all nuclear weapons dissappear. The world would be better off without them. But they do well as deterrents :(
