  1. Haha wow. I decided to try this game after seeing this thread, and what do you know, I ended playing with you (I didn't see the videos beforehand so I didn't realize it was you, and you're the first person I saw in W1 today and looked pretty legit, so I went in. Kinda cool). Few words of advice:

Do not play this game if you don't have STRONG DISCIPLINE.

In the end, I lost all my cash to you :P (Only 34m, but still...). I hope you spend that money more wisely than I did. It's crazy because I went in fully thinking that I was going to bet 100k and double each time until I won, then back down to 100k again (guarantee profit as long as you don't lose it all before you win one). But I let my emotions get the best of me - and it ended up costing me... Although I have to say, I must be the unluckiest person in Runescape. I played 17 times and only won 3 (maybe 4 cant remember) of those. At least I got some experience and know the consequences. If I was to ever play again, I would definitely stick to my plan and play conservatively now that I know how quickly things can change.

So as of now, no more dice game :P I sold some stuff in my bank I wasn't using, so now I have 3m. I'm trying to flip some stuff with it while farming to make some of it back, though it's slow going (not much of a merchanter anyway)....Dang.

Great playing with ya, thanks for trusting me :).

Post updated. Part 5 of dicing released (1.4 bill pot bets!). Made about 2.2b today

  2. Ok, you know how if you have a certain amount of weed, you can get charged for "intent to sell", whether or not you were going to sell it. I think Jagex should implement "intent to scam," for all of those hosting flower games, trust game, 2x ur money, dice game, etc. Whether or not that person was going to scam they still can get reported, that would discourage a lot of obvious scammers.

Well it's not hard to see which ones are scams. "200k try for a santa" or "60-100 x5" would be the obvious scammers. Theres a lot of legits but there's more scammers than legits. Plus I read somewhere from a jagex mod that you can report if they scam you in a dice/flower game.

Anyway I made about 1 bill today

    gf firecape, torso, and 8m?

Kid kept trying to jump me and got annoying (ironic because i'm an annoying rusher?)

anyway, I ran around with him and noticed he forgot to flip on his range prayer...

    Ice blitz - 253 lp

    Dbow Spec- 443+80 = 523 lp

    Dbolt hit- ~267 lp

    Dbolt spec- 534 lp

    Total lp lost? 1577 lp

Saying fail when you get downed by some void noob? Priceless. (he said fail in response to my dbow spec, which redbarred him.)

I'm gonna try out the hand cannon... Is it any good (is it better than dbow?)? Does ice blitz stack with it?

Please tell me how you redbarred him with darkbow spec if the new update is players only get redbarred if their 0hp.

    the problem is you

runescape used to be so much better because it was new, thats all

everything was exciting, everything was an adventure

now you treat it as a grind, buy x mats, grind x exp, buy x skillcape, max 'x stats, complete x minigames, grind x achievement

    rinse, repeat

it's got easier, and thats great - would you pick the longer queue at the supermarket checkout for [cabbage]s and giggles? crawl at 20 on the motorway? paint your kitchen with a toothbrush?

the only thing i miss about the 'old days' was the good people on my friendlist who aren't around anymore and the sense of wonder at everything being so cool and the 'wow oh [bleep] is that a demon?' the 'hey i can smith a load of kiteshields and sell them to that guy and i'l get enough gp to buy my addy long!!!' factors... but thats life - you lose that whatever game you play when you become a 'veteran'.

as far as the actual gameplay goes - i actually enjoy it more now, and so do a lot of people

    i like easy

    ;)

RuneScape only got easier because Jagex knew they were losing players fast, so they had to do something. They made everything 5x easier so the impatient kids can be attracted to it. Jagex doesn't even update for skillers anymore, they only update for the higher levels. New RuneScape fails, now it's "get a 99 skill and flaunt your cape" instead of having a sense of achievement. I remember I got 99 woodcutting the hard way and I was already around rank 500 in woodcutting. Now what Jagex adds some new things that makes it so much easier? RuneScape is a joke, not a funny one either.

  5. I joined around mid 2004 as well, when Santa gave out yo-yos. AHH the fun in f2p going psycho when you were about to get a adamant/rune drop from pking. The times when you could ACTUALLY make pures by giving it some money from your main. Now your pure has to make money itself? Also it was pretty cool how nice the community was back then. It's a shame how much RuneScape has changed for the worse. Overpowered weapons like godswords and quests that give like 500,000 experience doesn't seem right...? Trade limit, what is this Tyrone elementary school? Grand exchange, I remember the fun of standing in World 1/2 and buying/selling merchandise, but now it's just buying from a machine? Sounds like a ripoff Capcom game. The new graphics are a shame too, I remember Jagex promising us an option to play the old graphics. Oh well they lied, just like they lied about updating more. What is it now, 2 updates a month and there both always quests? It's a no wonder RuneScape's player count massively plummeted. Yeah, players say the number of players dropped because there are no more autoers. What is that a joke? Autoers will always exist.

Oh well, the RuneScape era was good while it lasted (ended December 10 2007).

  6. The rewards are terrible. Far, far, FAR better to train a skill the old way. Worse even then pest control :wall:

Almost true, if that person that is playing has a high level in that skill, it is very nice for leveling. If you do not believe that a low level can get attack/str/def/mage/range/slayer xp with out getting hp, then check out this guy from RSC Forums.

How did that guy get like 800 zeal so fast :(
