  1. I had this problem, too, and I've heard from others in game that they had it, too.

There's a part where it looks like you're talking to him, and at the bottom it says, "Click to continue," and when you click there, you get nowhere. Where it looks like you're talking to him, it's actually more options, that you have to pick, though I can't remember what they are or which you choose, sorry.

Go back and talk to him again, and before you go clicking "Continue," check to see if what looks like the paragraph you're saying isn't actually options to choose from.

I hope that makes sense and helps you. I was stuck on that part for a while, and couldn't figure it out for the life of me. #-o

  2. On the actual island, there non-aggressive? That doesn't make much sense, considering the ones right next to the island are aggressive. But meh.. I've gotten 3 ranarr seeds in one Slayer task from Ogres. Pretty good for only having to kill 80 something.

Right, they are not aggressive on the island. I was just there this morning, collecting jangerberries, and I'm only level 91.

  3. I don't have any suggestions for mage training, sorry, but for ranged training, I suggest ogres. There's a small island west of Yanille with non aggressive ogres and plenty of walls, etcetera to safe spot. The drops aren't fantastic, but sometimes you'll get lucky with a few high level seeds, and the big bones are good for training prayer or selling. :)

  4. If you've started the Shades of Mort'ton quest, the fastest, cheapest way by far (In my opinion, anyway) is Serum 207

You need level 15 herblore, tarromin, and ashes.

You get 50 xp per potion made, the same amount you get making strength potions without looking for or buying limpwort roots.

Sure, the potion is pretty useless, but it's quick xp, and that's what you asked for, right?

  5. Also, what you can do, if you've done the Miscellania quests, is put some money into your kingdom, and have them collect maples for you.

I've got 55k maples in my bank from this, plus a nice collection of tree seeds and nests.

I powered through 10 or so levels to get to 65 firemaking so I could burn yew pyres for shade burning...it was enough for me. Good luck on your goal!

  6. Have you tried bringing the slashed book to the dwarf? Usually, when you try to smith in that secret room in Seers, you get a warning that you can't do it without the Battered Book, but you're now able to do it with the Slashed book, so perhaps they just updated the name?

    Just a thought, anyway. :)

  7. This messed me up, too. Then it messed up my friend, and I had forgotten what I did to get past it.

There's a part when you're talking with him, and at the bottom of your chat box area, it says "Continue," and you're probably clicking on that, and then he will never, ever, ever talk about the stew. Move your mouse up a bit, and you'll discover that the lines you thought you were already saying are actually options that you can pick from. Keep picking and you'll figure it out.

  8. Hey, I'm 27, I own my home, I'm married, and I have a 1 year old son. Just because I don't have much time for games anymore doesn't mean I don't still enjoy them. I grew up on Atari and Nintendo, I'm the video game generation.

Ok I understand you but if I had a one year old son the last thing I would be worrying about is when I am going to level up... :anxious:

So, unless you actually have kids, you have no idea what you're really saying. I'm not trying to be disrespectful, but I find that comment very unfair and judgemental.

I'm 25. I'm married, with two children. My husband and I both work full time in addition to caring for our kids and home. We*NEED* to be able to escape from "the real world" just like everyone else. That means--at least for me-- I spend some of my "spare" time playing RS. I play, and when I log off, I'm done. I don't think about it all the time, in fact, when I log back in, it usually takes me a minute to figure out what the heck I was doing last time.

No one, kids, teens, OR adults who play, needs to be thinking about the game all the time. EVERYONE has other things to worry about besides the game. It's unfair to say that because someone is an adult or has children they shouldn't play because they have other things they should be thinking about.

  9. I killed little rats. The list doesn't say "Giant Rat Bone," so I figured it must be a small one, even though they normally don't drop bones.

I must have killed a hundred of them before I got that bone. Good thing they're one hit, huh?

Go to some place with a lot of rats (Varrock Sewers) and just go to town on them.

    Good luck!

  10.

[*:1t0ghmz2] Withdraw yours, if you have.

[*:1t0ghmz2] Head down to the ogre mountain range below yanille. Go back thru the gates, over the battlement, across the jumprocks, and across the bridge to the city guards. The death rune isn't necessary this time.

[*:1t0ghmz2] Drop yours on the floor, then speak to any of the city guards again to obtain another. Repeating the process til you have the desired quantity, then simply picking up the rest off the floor.

 I love your guide! I've been wanting to get another one of these. Please note that the guard asks for 20 gp before he lets you jump across the rocks. It was a long walk back to Yanille.

  11. When you cook it, it will give you an option to whether you want to fully cook it, or not, making it poisonous. The option to choose will be pretty obvious when the menu comes up. The white one is fully cooked, the greenish one is not.

...you're not doing it for some malicious reason, right? Like to feed it to some unsuspecting person low on HP? Because that's not right.

  12. \' I think it should be a free-for-all. Everyone can PK everywhere, but this time, on the last day, once you're dead, you're dead. There's no respawning in Falador or Lumbridge; you're just gone. There could be a massive, world hopping race to be the last person standing in all of Runescape...just before some NPC or Mod came out of nowhere to finish him (or her) off.

Of course, there wouldn't be any proof if you were the last person alive...and everyone would lie and claim it for themselves, but the real "last person" would know the truth. O:)

  13. People will tell you to stand in a corner to let the gnomes do all the work, but as soon as I teleported there, he started attacking me like crazy, so I really don't think that works.

Do you have 8 doses or 8 whole prayer pots?

What I did is stand in the corner, with protect from mage on, and range him. It took quite a while, but I can't recall how many doses I went through.

If your range is decent, (mine was under 50) then 8 doses is probably enough.

I got killed in 2 hits trying to melee him...not exactly the greatest idea in my book.

  14. Was it recently as in last night?

My friend told me today that last night, he could see my messages to him, but when he tried to send them to me, it said I was unavailable. He said he sent in a bug report, but didn't hear anything back.

Anyway, it seems to be all fixed today,.
