this is a constant battle, for every update that makes it easier to find cheats there will be a solution to once again hide cheating from jagex, i mean the new Sony BMG rootkit makes it imposible to detect any running program with the prefix "$sys$" in the file name and is already used on WoW to hide programs from the warden type program which is far more advanced than anything jagex use by raising the risk to cheaters all that this will eventually accomplish is a even better program that even more ppl will use.

yes do scanning in safe mode adwear freezing is quite often a sign that it has tried to remove a more malicious spywear such as CWS althought there are many others. Secondly running that many programs is pointless in my experience Adaware SE Personal, Hijackthis 1.99.1, and grisoft avg have always been more than enough to deal with any problem.

if are running your net through a lan or ethernet card and the lights confirming power and a stable adsl connection are shown on your modem try goin to device manager locating you device on here then selecting the power managment tab unselect allow my computer to turn off this device to save power, this fixed my problem

ya definatly a missing driver if your running xp there should be no problem locating one just run divice manager to determin if the driver is missing if it is follow the simple instructions from device manager xp should locate and install a working driver

im currently running 2 hard drives for the exact same reason both maxtor diamond 80gb's and had no problem what so ever i just linked it with the slave jumper and set the bios to boot up imediatly after the hard drive containing the operating system
