  1. @drakrono: The XP for soloing IS quite a bit lower than it is for going in groups of any other size. When I had prestige 10, I was getting 690 XP for fully clearing a floor alone. When I went with one other person, that jumped to over 1000. Even now, I've noticed it goes up by over 40%, but I can't tell if that's because there's another multiplier tied to it, or if it's just because you can do bigger dungeons. One thing that's certain is that you can only access the small-size dungeons, and Diff 1:1 gives no bonus when soloing. The multipliers for groups, while not huge, DO add a little more.

  2. I'm all for high-level content (and low-level content, if it's at least fun.) Truth is, though, they need to revamp a few skills and give content to some areas of the game that've been neglected first. At least this update ended up being an interesting diversion. My horrible completionist urges say I"ll be getting that maxed out tackle box...

  3. What skill were you doing?Fishing (Monkfish)

What is your level in that skill?83

How long before your 1st/2nd rock?1st rock the instant I started fishing. 2nd after 8 monkfish.

b]How much xp (or other rewards) did you receive for creating a statue?[/b]6823

Something to note on this one. Despite what they claim, I don't know if lobster caging works or not. I didn't get any stones after 200 of those, before I switched to monkfish...

What skill were you doing?Firemaking (Maple Logs)

What is your level in that skill?82

How long before your 1st/2nd rock?1st after ~14 maple logs. 2nd after ~150 logs.

  4. This might be one of the best ones they've done. I honestly found myself so caught up in the storyline, I barely cared about the reward. That was one hell of a good storyline, to be blunt. I'm a fan of storyline in the game, but even I hadn't found myself caring about it quite so much before this quest. Just...Wow.

We need at least one or two quests with that kind of effect per year, if they could manage it.

  5. Could be a pickaxe. The dwarf that runs the blast furnace does say the blast fusion hammers were created for some kind of classified research. At the very least, it could be to make those, or maybe something even bigger...

    ...Dragon cannonballs? :P

  6. In addition to a massive new quest, smithing updates!

To start, the release of Elemental Workshop 3. That body door's been sitting closed for over two years. It's time to BUST IT OPEN!

After that, scaling back rune item smithing requirements to allow for a higher-tiered metal, made from an alloy of runite and adamantite. (or something of that nature...Use your imagination.) Best of all, every item made of the metal would be untradable, so us master smiths in training would have something to show for our work.

Finally, adding a smithing requirement to fix barrows armor yourself. Finally, a level 1 smith wouldn't be able to SOMEHOW fix ancient, powerful, and highly enchanted (cursed?) armor.

I could go on, but I'm trying to keep this SOMEWHAT realistic...Heck, I'd kill for any ONE of these to be implemented.

Edit: Ah, what the heck? I'd REALLY like to see Oziach's price to make a Dragonfire Shield go up...to about 15 million. Not to mention make it no longer able to be smithed through the assist system....Hehehe...

  7. If there's nobody using it, it only slows you down a second or two. The Netiznot furnace is just as fast, but either one works. I'm just used to using the Edgeville one because of all my smithing training.

  8. Yeah, seems I have lots of bad luck with plants and disease. I've never had a fruit tree take less than 28 hours. I'm just anxious because it's part of the last task on the Varrock diary. Soon as it finishes, I'll have spiffy new armor and 10,000 XP for Summoning.

Anyway, glad to hear it's not some really evil system. Thanks for the help.

  9. Knives are the best way to make a profit, but you'll be waiting a very long time for them to sell. If you just want to get through the bars quickly, platebodies are the way to go, but you won't make nearly as much gold.

  10. This might be a dumb question, and I apologize if it is. I used a spicy stew to make up the last 5 levels required to grow a poison ivy bush, supercomposted, paid a farmer like normal, etc...Strange thing is, it's taking far, far longer to grow than it should. (According to the guides, it should have finished over 3 hours ago.) Is there some mechanic in the game stopping a bush from growing if a person's not the right level, or am I just very unlucky with these?
