Gained another level in Summoning today, bringing it up to Level 50. That used up most of my good charms, so it's back to slayer training to try to gain a few more. Current assignment is 176 Bloodvelds, not sure if they are a good source of charms, but they won't be hard to kill.

Really want to get back into farming and raise that up the rest of the way, but I can't seem to get a good rhythm going again like i used to. Farming was one of my favorite skills, well as long as I had something to alch. I would run a circuit of planting and end up in Catherby. Plant there and then alch till all were grown. But as I'm not alching anything, I hate getting into something like a slayer assignment and then feeling rushed to either finish to harvest/replant or pause the assignment to do it.

But that just brings me back to my main problem. I can't get focused on one skill to do any serious training without skipping off to a different one. But slowly I'll raise them all up.

So today they released a high level update to Herblore. While I'm not able to use it yet, it sounds great. The new potions look to be great benefits to combat. Being untradeable may turn some people off, but I think it's a good addition. It's a reward for those who train the skill.

There needs to be more content that rewards a player with exclusive rewards. Yes, everyone wants to train skills to sell rewards from it (whether it's a resource, produced or npc drop). But where is the individuality if everyone can obtain/use everything in game without putting the time and effort into training to get it themselves.

Aside from that point, if this is a sample of what's to come in other skills future high(er) level updates, I'm pretty excited to see what Jagex comes up with.

Even though Summer's End presents a problem for me (ever since the RuneTek update, trying to eat sometimes misses a click or trying to place the logs will). A few other quests need to be done. Started on As a First Resort last night. Worked through most of it and I think I'm toward the end (trapping creatures in the city). After that might work on a few of the others I have that I qualify for before I try Summer's End again (and again, again, again....). Maybe with the arrow key movement update I can use that to move and click with the other hand.

Hiya, with the new board, comes all the new toys to play with. And I'm nothing if not a big kid at heart, so I'm going to try out the blog feature, whether anyone ever finds anything interesting to read here will remain to be seen.

A bit about me first. Been playing Runescape for the better part of 5 years. I took an unscheduled break when my last computer died on me. By the time I got a new one, I tried a few other games for a bit but still checked out RS and eventually came back. Some may remember me from before my hiatus, I was a forum mod here at Tip.It and was and still am a Player Mod in game.

Currently in game, I'm working on skills slowly and about to give up on regaining my quest cape (Curse You, Summer's End Quest!!!). I had reached 99 in Woodcutting and Fletching before and trying to figure out what skills I want to work on mainly next. I'm leaning towards Slayer (and combat by association) so I can gather charms to raise my summoning a bit more. I just completed all the Seer's and Varrock Achievement Diaries and going for Faldor next (after I check the levels needed).

Once I figure out more of a direction, the blog will have a bit more substance. Or not. *g*
