  1. They're illegal. It's copyright infringement.

The first issue is a possible infringement of the game creators copyright. As the case of Lotus v. Borland demonstrates, recreating "methods of operation" is not a copyright infringement. Thus, emulating copyrighted material is not a breach.

This does not apply to running private servers. If they had recreated Runescape using their own code, then that is what the above statement would apply too. In the same way you can rewrite a book in your own words and it is not copyright infringement.

As far as I know, the only way it would be illegal is if the people who are running it are making any sort of profit from it. This includes any ads that they may have running on their website.

  2. wheres the addy ore respawn?

what i meant was mining addy ore.

Run your own airs, getting rc up, and I think at 44 rc you should break even on alchs with the airs you make. I did anyways when i was f2p, not sure of essence prices now. You essentially are rcing at the same speed, but getting around 50k mage exp an hour as well during the process

I have 68 rc. Do you mean alching whilst walking to the air altar?

  3. OK, I'm not asking what I should be alching in F2P, (thank god for that) since I already have several thousand alchs prepared.

My question is, can anyone think of any good places, (in F2P) to alch. And by good I mean places that I can make a bit of extra money or earn some free exp.

Things that I've though of so far:

Telegrab Wine of Zamorak. (Free mage xp + some small profit)

    Addy ore respawn

Air running world to try and get 30k xp per day (I can do 7x air runes)

Can anyone come up with anything else? Doesn't matter how crazy it is.

EDIT: I have quite high stats and over 100M in my bank. I am not a noob >_< 123 F2P combat and 94 magic.

  4. I know how to find the EXACT value of charms.

When two items are on the ground the highest value item will always appear on top.

It would be a simple method of dropping an amount of coins, and then dropping say a gold charm. Whichever appears on top is the most valuable.

Rinse and repeat to narrow down the price of the charm.

EDIT: nevermind its already been mentioned.

2ND EDIT: Ok the "price" of all charms are 199gp each. That's the alch value that jagex has assigned them.

  5. I figured it out. I'm not going to tell anyone though so don't bother pming me. I am just showing off really.

    Or, you're talking bulls--t...

Reminds me of a certain.... Nevermind.

But yes, I don't really believe any of all this revolutionary training theories. Waterfiends and Rock lobsters are the best.

I have a method that gets me 200k magic xp per hour and makes me around 500k in geepees. So yes I do believe in revolutionary methods. I also know a way to get 50k craft xp per hour and make about 300k per hour. It's all about thinking outside the square.

  6. There is no point in making unstrung maple bows...

By cutting the maple logs you generate roughly 120k-150k worth of junk per hour, now if you are trying to make money there are plenty of other ways to generate cash which can give you 400k-500k per hour, so in reality, the time you spent creating junk is actually making you LOSE money since you aren't being as efficient as you can be.

Anyway, a good way to create junk items and gain some valuable crafting experience is to create emerald necklaces. Each emerald necklace produces ~166gp and also this is quite a decent way to train crafting, as opposed to making unstrung maple bows which is quite a slow way to raise fletching.

  7. ranging aviansies until 85-90 is very good exp and supplies alot of income for chinchompas for further leveling. Also theres lots of guides on the AOW for you to look at.

I'm not really interested in ranging avansies, i've tried it, found it boring. Money is not really a big issue as I make 1-2M/day from merchanting.

Also i've heard that avansies gives roughly 35k-40k range xp per hour which is a bit too low imo.

I'll take a look at AOW though, thanks =]

  8. Hello there,

I am level 131 combat, and I have never really trained range, currently level 77 range.

I wish to get my range level up so I have more options when going gwd/boss hunting.

    I already have void range.

I am willing to pour money into it to get fast xp which might include cannoning or chinchomping.

My goal level is around 90-93.

I have around 15-20M to spend on supplied and around 40-50M to spend on gear.

    Now to my questions.

Is it worth using chinchompas at my level?

If not what level should I start using chinchompas and what should I do up until that level?

Say I had 1000 chinchompas, roughly how much exp would that get me at lower levels and higher levels.

Should I use void range or armadyl/best range outfit.

Where is the best place to cannon? Daganoths?

What sort of xp/hour would i acheive using chinchompas and what sort of xp/hour would i get cannoning at the best location.

Thanks in advance if you can answer any of my questions. :D
