  1. nice guide got a few questions/pointers though

    1. I think TDS have started too change attack if they cant hit with melee (maybe its the safespot though i use an other one)

    2. you greatly underestimated the importance of prayer... so i think a karil/armadyl with verac owns a full armadyl with verac helm + i think its very handy too bring a shield with high pray bonus like the fally achievemnt shield

    3. wth wear a ring of wealth >.<

  2. man how old is that pixel argument...countless rebuttals have been given for this type of argument "ooo its just pixels..." cause pixels translate into real time and effort the person put in...so stop saying its jus pixels

So if its not pixels then what is it?

why are u talking to your friends online? those are just pixels made into words too isnt it? just throw away your whole computer then ya...great idea since its all pixels to you

I would like to start off by saying what the hell does talking online to my friends have to do with Rune Escape? Do i have to work that hard to press a button on a key bored? and why would i throw out my computer it isn't made out of pixels also your acting like Rune Scape rules the internet do i have to fish 1k sharks to visit a website?

some ppl never do understand nor comprehend do they...

and if everyone in the whole damn world had the same mentality like you "what could i have done? the murderer was just stabbing him i couldnt have done anything....the robber was just robbing him i couldnt have done anything too" the world world would be a crime infested place.

Oh boy here we go again but before i say something im gonna talk about the examples you posted. "The murderer was stabbing him i couldn't have done anything" Obviously what the hell am i gonna do punch a guy with a sharp object that can kill me the only thing i could do is call the police.

"the robber was just robbing him i couldn't have done anything too" same as above he could have a knife or even worse a gun which he could kill me with. Now to my point your comparing REAL LIFE to a GAME. Its like saying i saw a level 80 slashing a level 70 with a sword in the wilderness what could i have done? so tell me what would you do if you were me at the time and place my cousin was about to scam the guy?

Yes, I totally agree. Its not like your gonna rob someone for 100$ and then tell them, stop crying its just paper

Once again game to real life i can feel the $100 and it isn't pixels and i can buy food clothes and other stuff with it in real life. Can i take a rune plate body and wear it in real life? No.

dude if you dont get it seriously stop playing... you wouldnt be pissed if jagex set your lvls too a lvl3 every day??? well probably it would piss you off alot... and if it doesnt.. stop playing and stop posting on rs Forums

  3. I think that the big rush is coming to an end for skill-capes and construction. most of the rare owners that sold their rares to buy capes and shiny houses have done that and built up enough money to re-invest in rares again.
I'm sorry, but thats one of the dumbest things I have heard in a while.

That actually makes a bit of sense. 3rd Age, Skill Capes, and Construction killed rares for the past year or so, as rich players sold their rares to be able to afford these new things. However, the people that want these things have gotten them, and now have a surplus of cash.

well you see, it doesnt work that way, people don't sell rares for the sake of getting a cape or a nice house. The ones that can barely afford a rare have better things to do than waste money on an unnecessarily expensive house valuing at over 30m. Same goes for capes, you either invest in a cape or a rare, you don't jump round between the two.

As for the people who have multiple expensive rares, again, they either don't waste their money, and if they do, most lvl 99 stats don't require much money, something someone with a lot of rares would have no trouble affording, and a lot of skills end up making profit anyway. Either way, there are very few people out there with so many rares, even if they each sell one for some 99 stats or an overly fancy house, it would have almost zero effect on the economy.

It's pure common sense, menial things like that don't affect something as massive as the economy. You might as well say that exploding stars are caused by humans.

    [hide=long quote]
they should always be going up and up, i dont understand how come they go down sometimes :?

because you CANT ever get new amount of them in-game..

and sometimes i see furys prices go up?.. hows that possible, because everyday you can get more and more and more of them into markets O:)

It's simple; the rares market is both very small and very expensive. This gives the rich phat merchants a lot of room to manage the prices, it works the same way as the stock market in real life. When the prices slow down in rising, people slow down in buying them, which makes them fall, it's a deadly cycle that sometimes causes crashes (There has only been one crash in runescape to date, which happened at the phat dupe), but usually the prices simply remain stagnant at lower prices. Since they become cheaper, more people tend to buy them, and eventually they restore to their usual rising speed.

It's funny how every time something like this happens, people often tend to make strange and far fetched theories to what happened when the answer is almost always the same, and very simple.

I think that the big rush is coming to an end for skill-capes and construction. most of the rare owners that sold their rares to buy capes and shiny houses have done that and built up enough money to re-invest in rares again.

I'm sorry, but I missed the part where his idea was so far-fetched that you had to demean it.... Honestly, people that get it in their heads that they're right think that any other idea sounds ludicrous :wall:

Who are you to say he is absolutely wrong?

the guy with common sense :|

i think your for the most part right malo... BUT

some updates also affected the rare price

1 construction update rly shook rare trade especially phats since cons costed like 200-300m back then too get 99 so lots of high lvls sold rares too get cash for a faster way too get 99 cons

2 i also think that third age dfs and d full kinda slowed the rising of the rares because more people set there goal too buying thesse kinds of armors instead of saving for a rare..

in conclusing i think the rise in rares now is simply the market catching up in the slow rise in rares the last year+....

  4. F2P.... Regardless of what anyone says, They still need bank space.

The list of items were not bad. But to stick to that would be hard, So. Lets Take the fight to the jagex tower! We've done it before and we can do it again!

We want bank space... When do we want it. Now!

Bank space is in ergent need. But for some reason. This topic isnt turning heads at the Jagex tower... We need to find a way to Make them listen.

F2P still need's an update now and then. So. We will take on jagex on this matter. If jagex wont do it for us... Do it for themselfs...

They dont like banning people. But it will become a matter of banning people who make other accounts just to hold there items and then trade them back when they need them. This is breaking the rules.. Thats never something you should do. But i know that people out there are turning to this just to be able to train there skills. Its not good. So please jagex...

 Please Jagex. F2P need this bank space

....Bank space is in ergent need. But for some reason. This topic isnt turning heads at the Jagex tower... We need to find a way to Make them listen......

mmm maybe beause they couldnt care less about a bunch of f2p (freeloaders) saying they want something. you dont pay!!!! theyre making this game as a job and not a hobby.

as long theyre are enough p2P people and enough new P2p people they wont update anything.

you could even think that when there are gonna be less P2P people theyre gonna make F2p more boring. so f2p people are forced too go P2P..

so all f2Pers should just shut up or pay...

    its so fricking annoying

  5. Armor - check.

Weapons - why do you need three different kinds? I use one, and have two of them.

    Range Armor - check.

    Bow - check.

    Arrows - 2 kinds

Mage Armor - drop the Anti-drag shield. It's not like you'll be fighting more than one dragon as a non-member.

Mage Staves - use one: Air.

Runes: Earth, Water, Fire, Nature, Chaos, Death, Law. Bodies are crap, and you don't need Airs because you have a staff.

    Pickaxe - check.

    WC axe - check.

Fishing Supplies - Harpoon OR Lobster Pot (net or rod/bait for low lvls)

Ore - only what you're actively using/training on. I keep iron, coal and mithril. If I have need for something else, I get it, use it, and am done.

Bars - only what you're actively using/training on. I keep steel and mithril. If I have need for something else, I get it, use it, and am done.

Wood - Wood is for burning. The only money you'll make with wood is Yew. Burn the rest.

    GP - check.

Random Event Outfits - they are crap. Completely useless. If you want to keep one for showboating purposes, fine. But I NEVER use ANY of mine.

Quest Items - A few for the quest you're actively working on. Start a quest, and finish it. Very few require banking loads of stuff, so carry everything you can. There is no quest that you need more than 28 spaces of random items at any time.

Food - Keep what you are going to use. I never use anything worse than tuna. Drop or sell the rest.

    Strength Pots - check.

Trimmed Armor and Clothing - unnecessary. If you really like showboating, keep a set. If you have rune trimmed armor, use it as your normal armor, and don't fight things that'll probably kill you. In the last year, I can remember dying unintentionally a total of 2 times, and in both of those, I was being stupid. Also remember that if you're going to be a pker, you need to be able to afford to replace all of the armor you're going to use, in case you lose it. (and if not, afford to replace all but the 3 most expensive items)

While I agree with you on most of this, you left a few things out:

Weapons - why do you need three different kinds? I use one, and have two of them.

Melee weapons have certain strengths against certain armors, so some people like to keep weapons with crush, slash, and stab attacks, i.e. a rune 2-hand, a rune scimitar, and a rune long sword.

Mage Armor - drop the Anti-drag shield. It's not like you'll be fighting more than one dragon as a non-member.

F2P Mages don't have the Anti-dragon shield to use against dragons; we use them because they are the only available f2p shield which does not hurt our magic bonuses.

Mage Staves - use one: Air.

I use an Air Staff for fighting, but I still have other staves: fire for superheat item, high alch, and lvl 3 enchant, water for lvl 1 enchant, and i will get earth soon for lvl 4 enchant.

Runes: Earth, Water, Fire, Nature, Chaos, Death, Law. Bodies are crap, and you don't need Airs because you have a staff.

I agree that we don't need air runes, but I still have a slot because I craft them to sell, and I keep body runes because they do help in combat. You also forgot to include cosmic runes.

Quest Items - A few for the quest you're actively working on. Start a quest, and finish it. Very few require banking loads of stuff, so carry everything you can. There is no quest that you need more than 28 spaces of random items at any time.

There are a few items which are still useful even after the quest, especially Silverlight, which is good against demons.

You also forgot to add crafting supplies to that list, and i have 4 slots of gems, a slot for chisel, a slot for gold bars, slots for molds, plus slots for cowhide, needles, and thread.

your right in all of them it IS handy too have three weapons all staffs mage range and melee outfit en all kinds of other stuff

    but your F2P!!!!!!!!

thats the boddom line< you guys should stop nagging your not paying anything!!!!!!

when you dont use mage get rit of your mage outfit. frog costume zombie outfit stinks anyway get rit of those too

i almost got 60m exp and even I dont have all other random event outfits

so when your F2p youll just have too get rit of stuff you dont need.

get rit of crafting stuff when your done crafting.

get rit of your range stuff when your done range training

get rit of silverlight... no its not handy it StINKS!

SO bottom line stop nagging just clean up your bank and sell stuff you dont need... i got mroe then enough friends who are F2p FOR life and doing fine with the bankspace

  6. -.-

    1. i hit 19 with slayer dart.. and max of 15 with fire bolt (And i cant wear my barrows gloves)

    2. so it costs more prayer points = more prayer POS needed = less chests per trip

    3. you get the runes needed for spells.. so no time waisting on buying rune (time is money... ;-) )

    lol forgot most important thing

    4. slayer dart works fine with melee armor
