Also not many people play due to school started and less people buy airds making prices dip low.

Because 90% of pures think their 99 str is the best and they can beat ANYONE. Basically because they are high egoed str noobs. Most are little 8 year old drop traders and MOST of ALL pures break the trading between accounts rule.
So Basically because they have a VERY bad attitude and break rules.

1. Abuse of the Combat Level Formula
The combat level formula calculates your combat level from your combat stats, like attack and ranged. Pures exploit flaws in it to create characters far more powerful than their levels indicate. This means normal players with average stats are at a severe disadvantage in PvP.
People blame pures for this, but the fault lies with Jagex, for creating a formula that encourages people to make pures. Jagex could fix this but chooses not to ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ if you are unhappy about all the pures, complain to Jagex, not them.
2. Dishonesty
Many pures try to hide their combat abilities through tricks like names that canÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t be looked up in the hiscores, to deceive non-pures into fighting them.
3. Immaturity
The average pure player is younger and less mature than the average skiller (for example). They are far more likely to behave obnoxiously as a result ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ bragging about how they ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Åp00n j00ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

Yeah this really bugs me, and the more i voice my opinion the more i get frustrated and rash due to peoples inability to argue rationaly and the fact a few people i thought were friends voiced out against pures in very crude abrasive ways on these forums just to be "cool".
I am really glad others feel the same, some of us are rational "mains" who like to be able to pk on our "main" accounts the way we enjoy.

If pkers can't accpet that then they shouldn't pk at all.
They just want to kill you faster because they are greedy 10 year olds who don't want to waste stuff and actually have a real fight.

The whole whine of this thread is founded on a bad source.
You say range is underpowered as melee beats it easily.
The combat triangle is melee > range > mage > melee
As pointed out before melee IS SUPPOSED to own range
And ranged is one of the highest hitting combat types available
The only way to get even close to ranged max hits is with dharoks on like 1 hp or with godsword and even then ur only really rivalling the rune c-bow and not the d bow.
Mage is the most underpowered one hits wise and versatility wise. Most people think its wrong, but they are basing it on pking.
And in pking many wear d-hide with melee weps to fight mages, whihc means it is not a true representation of mage vs melee.
Its mage vs unboosted melee with range armour to deflect magic
-.- If you've been to f2p lately, you'll noice that mage is nothing more than a joke. Combat triangle? Pfft....its pretty obvious that someone's "getting owned" when a mage maxes on a full rune pker for 16 damage when that same pker hits a 30 on him with his rune scimitar. As for ranged, its never stood a chance against dds and everyone knows it, having high ranged really doesn't pay unless you hybridize. I'm thinking of changing this thread to "mage is under powered" or some sh*t.

Pure was derived from rsc where magic gave you combat levels individually from other stats in cohesion with prayer.
All a pure was, was a character void of the imperfections that were mage and prayer, allowing your combat stats to be as high as possible at a low as possible combat.
