Yes, but it's still not as good as Full Veracs or other methods of taking down the KQ.

It costs millions to get to 99 construction, you might want to pick another skill to go for 99.

Ya true, there is no counter point for this-from what I've seen.
Anyone have a counter to Fighter Torso being unfair to Pkers?
Simple. If you die with fighter torso, it disappears. If someone killed you, that someone can collect a certain amount of money. Maybe release a PKers guild or something.
And this could also apply to rune defender, maybe you get 20k for killing someone with a defender.
Same could also be for skill capes. Give the killer 75k or so.
Well at the moment, Pking is not profitable at all :| (at my level) unless I get whips.

Try the fur stall.

The reason jagex made the fighter torso (and so many other excellent combat items) untradable is because they rather have players work for their items.
With the barrows gloves, rune defender, fighter torso and more, jagex decided that, instead of buying everything they own, players would now have to spend time obtaining it.
They most likely considered that it would lessen the profits of pking, but they opted that too many players would simply "buy their way through the game". Instead, they would rather have players spend their time obtaining what they could potentially loose. In other words, pking has now become more of a loss (time-wise) of the pked, and less of a gain for the pker.
I believe that jagex's decision was wise concerning untradable items. Being rich is beginning to have less benefits then it did before (you can't buy a fire cape). I assume jagex chose this direction because, eventually, players' ultimate goal won't be making millions through merchanting, it will be obtaining rare, powerful untradable armor (like most mmorpgs). I strongly believe that many more of these items are to come.
This is killing the one unique thing about their player combat system; when you kill someone you keep thier items. The way it's going, people will be Pking in 70 defense armor and such, and thier only loss if they die will be a dagger.

I think it has. It's just one more item that gives good bonuses, that when you die with it, you can get it back, free of cost. How, might you ask?
Let's say I have one, and am fighting in Edgeville. Someone kills me! What do I do? I sprint to the Fally Bank, grab a Glory Amulet, tele back to edgeville, and PICK IT UP FROM THE GROUND. This is horrible! Why should melee get ANOTHER item (Barrow Gloves, Rune Defenders, and now Fighter Torso\ Fighter Helms) that when they die with it, you can't get it? With the price of sharks and arrows being so high, it's not profitable at all to PK. It's even worse for meleers I'm sure.
My question is, do you think Fighter Torsos are good or bad for the Wild? I say bad of course, anyone else agree with me?
-
Well..not me.
I have a good amount in items, maybe my full bank is about 10m max. A friend of mine gave me 92k willows, I bought a black cav for 125k off a newb  .
Been a good year so far

This should make the mage stakers happy \ nice find!

First off why would you want to play RS on your PSP :wall:
The answer to your question is Java. Do you honestly think a game as large as Runescape would work on your PSP? :shame:

Nice article, a good read :)

Only think about Farming I do not like is the length in time that is required to level it up. I did, however, get from 1-30 the day it came out, but since then have only gotten my level to 64. The main problem is the only fast way to level is from trees, which are too costly IMO.
-
I was also disappointed when I read the article. I too thought it would be a nice long article about the varys in all the quests, not the definition of quest. And btw, you can mage\range\hally that level 150 demon, so it's not really a big deal to kill it :boohoo:

The lvl 5 mod (Who uses these forums) and I are friends.
I'd probably cry. Literally. I know it sounds... lame, but it is a privilage. I cried when I got my first mime event after 3 yrs. of playing, and me never having one never since they came out. If I got my first mime event a week ago, I'd be lucky to get accepted as a mod in 6 yrs. from now. But all I know is I'd take the responsibility, and take down the autoers/rule breakers I see when no mods are around, and can't do anything about it.
But the good thing of having a p-mod as a friend is you can pm them and they can take care of it.
:XD: :XD: :XD:
Sorry, but that sounds so funny. If I got accepted as a player mod, I'd be pretty happy, but I wouldn't cry :XD: .

Get 80 Ranged first, and use only ranged.
I got it at 88 combat with 82 ranged, using only ranged :)

Use a Dlong.
I got to 70 defense with these stats to start, 64 atk 57 str 65 def, using a Dlong. I then got to 70 attack using a Dlong with 64 atk 57 str 65 def to start.
THEN, I got to 60 str with 70 atk 58 str 80 defense using a Dlong, lol. I can't be bothered to do Monkey Madness on this account (It's done on my pure)

I don't know why it's full. IMO, you should change your homeworld to 42 where I am ;)

Buy full rune and a skimmy and train. Go for the stats 80-80-70 and pk the days away. If you're more of a skiller, you should maybe cut yews for a while until you have enough money to spend on skills.
-
A fire cape possibly?

From what I know, Ladykilljoy plays RS2 more. Ladykilljoy is also in the same clan as me, KoFH

Recycle your money. For example, buy 5k magic logs, bowstrings, nature runes. After you fletch them all and high alch, you will have gotten good exp. and a nice monatary gain! :)
Questions about the so called Barrows gloves price
in Help and Advice

What do you mean by the price the general store would pay for it? Do you mean what it would protect over if you died?
I know that if you die with them they disappear (if you're skulled, that is) not sure what happens to them if you aren't skulled.
Good job on getting the gloves BTW :)
