Brilliant, what is the best armour to protect against magic. My budget is about 5 m

If you mean monkey guards, the gorillas in the temple, another disappointment I'm afraid. You get xp per kill and monkey guards heal themselves, so that's not great for xp either.

 

So what would you recommend? RS is a disappointment right now :(

First of all, ape atoll skeletons are horrible xp.

 

Secondly, protect prayers are no longer 100%.

 

Together, it's pretty simple: don't kill ape atoll skeletons.

 

But don't worry, there's still plenty great melee training options. Iirc icefiends? are fast xp.

 

I'm on about Ape Atoll guards.. sorry If I didn't make that clear :(

Firstly, hello everyone! My first time back on runescape after a good year or so.... wow has it changed!

 

I need some tips for ape atoll training. I want to get my STR up along with everything else that goes with it (attack/hp)

 

Now I tried going there, and started doing it, but it seems the monkeys take a lot of damage from me... I remember back in the day this never used to happen.

 

So what do you suggest I take to get my levels up?

 

I'm currently 185 (?)

 

90 ATT

90 HP

90 STR

88 DEF

I'm still using my original login name from when I created my account in 05. In the last year I have changed names twice. For the last 6 months I've been called Quenya. I can still login with my orginal name. Hope this helps..

Jagex is a business. They are supposed to try and be as profitable as possible.

 

Fully agree, what do you expect from a large company, it's all about money, you seriously think they care about their players? But then again, investing should put more money in, therefore more features, etc.

No, I didn't installed any kind of adblocker. Actually the links of various sites are getting red even in Faccebook! I wanted to upload a screen shot of that but unable to lack of options.

 

Okay, so it can only be Firefox, try this for me:

 

Tools > Options > Web Features > Check box "Enable Java"

> Check in box "Enable Javascript"

> Check in box "Load Images"

After you've checked all that, press OK.

 

Shut down Firefox and open it up again.

N.B. I use Windows-7 as Operating System, Mozilla Firefox as browser and Panda Cloud Antivirus as antivirus.

[Easy forum viewing on Smart Phones.]

I browse often using the IP Mobile skin on my iPhone. There is no need for an application like that, let alone one you pay for imo.

 

I should of checked forum out on my iPhone first.. Thought it would of been a good idea if tip.it didn't have anything installed. I should also use application search more.. Found the IP boards application! ;)

Consdering you've tried everything.. Go to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/ and report the issue.. File a bug. The only thing I can think that it's some kind of issue between Java & Firefox maybe.

My java was/is up to date and I just reinstalled firefox. Hopefully that will fix it up. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I completely forgot to mention that this problem only happens to me on Firefox. When I'm on Explorer, this never happens.

In 2 years lots of new players have joined Runescape. They may not be as knowledgeable as you and I were back when Free Trade was around. Over time Runescape will do many guides, news & information on how not to fall for scams. It takes time to teach this to people. it's just the rush of Free Trade, once it's been a few months it should calm down..

In the last week have you opened any emails that look unfamiliar? Have you clicked any links from friends? Everytime do you check that the Runecape URL is correct with the right certificate in the URL bar?

 

Downloaded any software?

 

Used any bot programs in the past? ( be honest it will help determine why you were "hacked" )

 

Get back to me with the answers, then we can do a little digging.

Have you tried using Safari or Opera? Worth a try. Reason I said about trying it all before he replies is because I don't want to mention the same thing I've already mentioned. I'm sure a solution is out there. I'll take a look when I get home and PM you and information.

Some simple questions: have you tried to re-install FireFox? Have you tried updating Java? http://www.java.com download latest version & install, then restart your computer.

 

Try playing it on Google Chrome or Internet Explorer and tell me if you can.

What i have noticed since this update:

 

-alot of scammers

-alot of beggars

-good time for skillers that buys supplies

-bad time for those that sells supplies

 

i stocked alot of supplies for incredibly cheap fo future purposes...tt items also occasionally sells super cheap like animal staffs i got from 40k+ from ge

 

i also noticed new entertaining type started atleast in f2p...w1 varrock bank basement seems to be now gambling casino where ppl gathering to gamble dice games lol

 

scammers are the ones that earning tons after ft...all those celeb cake sellers and such

sadly i was witnessing successfully scamming today and my friend was the victim...scamming style was "show your inventory and get free rune bars" and scammer managed to get over 50mill from my friend.

 

ppl are just simply too used to old "safe" system where such things would not happen...

 

some good things also i seen recently...many ppl doing drop parties and occasionally i found myself middle of them picking up dragon stuff or something.

also some random guys been giving out wealth...my friend got over 100mil cash from random guy in w1 today in example...being in right place at right time seems to be profitable.

 

honestly i would still go back to old style with limited trades.

 

It's funny when free trade comes out everyone has been "hacked", and all that... How did your friend get scammed by showing his inventory?

 

I myself gave 500k to some guy dancing, but that was just because I was happy free trade was back! :thumbup:

Thanks Quenya, I've moved my manual setup option down by 1 and my FPS is basically always around or above 30, so that's working for me.

 

I guess I'll just have to get used to playing with a little bit of a black border. ^-^

Changing times mean changing tactics, be one step ahead of them!

 

It's all part of the fun, you'd never of thought it would stay the same. On the other hand if people are glitching the pile drops, I'm sure Jagex will fix that.
