  1. I am doing a race with someone to aquire full dragon. Two of the parts I still need are dragon med and dragon 2hander. What is the best way to get those by drop ofcourse. Btw, I canÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôt use barrows for the med.

    For med:

    -solo mole

    -kill mole with more people

    -solo KBD

    -kill KBD with a group

    -anything else?

    For 2hander

    -Kalphite queen

    -Chaos elemental.

    -anything else?

    Thanks.

  2. I am quitting runescape for a longer period of time, so I sold all my stuff and amassed about 40M. Now I want to buy some rares from it. What should I buy to get the most money out of it in... let's say a year or something.. 2 santas.. 1 red mask, like 5 disks, or a combination.

    Any help is appreciated :)

  3. In the last video ( wave 61-63) the music of that awesome 'song' In the name of god - I realy realy like it - perfectly alligns with the video. How did you freakin manage to get it so, that when you saw Jad the song was on it's highest and loudest point (can't find the exact words), and at the moment Jad touches the floor, the music dies too. That must have been a great work to get the perfece timing, but the effect is great, and makes it more than just a very good fight caves guide.

  4. I watched it all exept the vid before the last. I must say I am impressed with all the information I didn't know yet. Exact use of the Italy rock will be a great help on my next try. Also I never heard before of the trick that stops your prayer from draining.

And the music is awesome btw! I realy gotta download something of dream theatre.

The links for the 3rd and the 5th video from megaupload don't work for me.

  5.

Well, the question is wrong, Burntmeat isn't named on what he cooked first, but what he ate first. Just as "My arm" in the quest: my arms big adventure :P ( I really liked that one)

he cooked it and then tried to eat it. I think it's awsome that runescape is becoming popular cult in england to the point of getting asked as trivia questions

are you sure he cooked it first?

Yes, after all it's his "specialty"

The first thing you ate doesn't have to be the first thing you cooked. It seems rather unlogic that a just born baby would cook food and eat it (eat meat without teeth?? Well maybe baby trolls already have teeth when they are born :-k ) Maybe he ate the burnt meat his father made him, and was inspired for the rest of his life? :P

It is just one of the great questions in life: What's there after death? Why are we here? Was burnt meat realy the first thing Burntmeat cooked? We just might never know.

  6. Ofcouse it is all true but I get sick of all the morality that seems to be in the tip.it times lately. It is not interesting to read, and it won't change many scammers. It would be nice to have more stuff like the interview with Gregechidna6 which realy shows a part of runescape most people (including me) knew nothing about. I also find the analizings of the economy from Duke Freedom very good.

Well that's just my oppinion on the subject. I don't say the article is bad, I just don't like all the morality...

  7.

i did some kq trips with my mate yesterday and discovered something stunning. the keris actually HITS THROUGH THE KQ MELEE PRAY. yes and the special works too, i hit a stunning blow of 72 against her second form (the one with melee pray). too bad i was too stunned to press the print screen button.

personally i think this is a bug and will be fixed, but if its not its a great weapon to pwn the KQ with. altho full veracs is still better (my m8 was using it)

when do idiots understand that the kalphite queen DOES NOT use prayers, she just has better resistance to those attacks, people use verac there because it hits better then whips, but only whip works ok there too.

She does use prayers... The only thing is people keep forgetting it only reduces the chance of hitting. Just as with player vs player protection prayers.

  8. I just saw the current #1: Thehate hunting red chinchompas. This confirms my theory that red chinchompas are faster xp at high lvls.

BUT I think the only reason Darkforest67 has about TWICE AS MUCH XP(!) is that there is another, better spot. One that even Thehate does not know. I mean. I cannot believe Darkforrest67 has played twice as much as Thehate... That is just impossible.

So now we only have to search for that secret spot 8-)

By the way, did you notice Zezima has given up his #1 rank? He is currently lvl 57 Hunting... So when the highscores stabalize Uloveme would be ranked first with about 710M xp. Dunno who would be 2nd...

  9. Oi thanks for all the responses while I was gone. I am inclined to follow the high level hunter and say that red chinchompas are better xp. But I still fail to much, so I would say red salamanders up to lvl 70 and then red chinchompas all the way to lvl 99.

I am not sure though on What Uular said that The Hate catches dashing kebbits. They seen pretty slow at lower levels, but maybe when you are 80+ thay are better. I can't test it because I'm only lvl 65.

  10. Ok thanks I'll add it.

I have been catching red salamanders with smoking the traps. I got 51k xp which I found a litle disapointing. I thought I would actualy getting more. Maybe the 58k xp without was a little too high? I might retest it after I try smoking at chomps, tomorrow though. Now it sleepy timy...

  11. I was NOT smoking or baiting, mainly because You don't realy have time for it, when you have set your trap anotherone has already collapsed or closed. At least this is at salanders. At chinchompas I have a little more time so I'll try smoking (not baiting becoz it is not stackable)

Actualy i will try smoking at salamanders too. Now actualy. :P

  12. I am always trying to find the fasted method of training in any skill. Now I did a little research on leveling hunter at a fairly high level. I started at lvl 60 and tried out which was faster xp. Red salamanders or red chinchompas. So I hunted them both for exactly an hour of non stop training. This may not be realy realistic due to that it's crowded sometimes, but it is the best way to actualy compare the xp.

    So here are the results:

    Hunted: red salamanders

    Lvl: 60-62

    xp: 58k

    Bait or smoking: no

notes: the 58k xp may not be realistic because of random events which will cause you to lose nets, trap stealers and crowded words. But the populairity seems to be diminish. I would say 50k xp is archievable.

A disadvantage is that you can't set up more than 4 traps.

    ===============================================

    Hunted: red chinchompas

    lvl:63-64

    xp: 42k

    Bait or smoking: no

notes: Obviously this is not as fast as the red salamanders, but it is not as crowded as at salamanders. Also you dont need extra inventory space for the chinchompas as they are stackable, so you can take a full inventory of extra boxes for when you lose some. An other major advantage is that you get an ownage ranging weapon! :) I got about 160 in one hour.

Conclusion: It is up to you what you want to hunt. They seem good both.

I think the red chinchompas will be better experience at higher lvls because I failed A LOT at my lvl (I failed about 3 of 4 traps). When I got to level 64 I already saw a signicifant difference ( only fail about 2 out of 3, lot for 1 lvl). Also at lvl 80 you can set up 5 traps what is not possible at salamanders.

    Red Salamanders with smoking traps:

    lvl:64-65

    xp: 51k

notes: a litle disapointing, Thought it would be more than without smoking. Maybe the 58k is too high? I might retest that...

I smoked some chincompas for an hour.

    hunted: red chinchompas

    lvl: 65-66

    xp: ~40k

    Smoking or baiting: only smoking

notes: Smoking is bad for you health irl, and it bad too in runescape. So don't start smoking!

    Hunting Level (50-52)

Orange salamanders, 3 traps, using smoking and bait. (wearing Ghorak cammies)

Laid 150 traps, caught 90 (60% catch rate) in 30 minutes

    Xp per hour - ~40k

I'll do this once more then head back to green lizards. I was failing often on orange salamanders without the bait but I did not track the rate though.

Could make for a nice chart of failure w/ and w/out smoking and or bait. Baiting salamanders is ok as it's stackable. As for time, I look at it like this: If it's failing too much, I'm not getting xp. Better I take extra time setting up a trap to increase xp than to quickly go through traps and not catch anything. On the other hand, if the gain is not high enough, I'm better off saving time not setting up the trap with smoke or bait.
