Valvus
I am looking for a simple video editing software. I don't need a lot of functions. All I basically need is cutting/clipping. However, the software should be able to handle fairly large files (the one I am currently working with is 7+ gigs). If possible, it must be a freeware or non-restrictive shareware/trial version. Any sugestions?
Phantium
I'm not sure if VirtualDub is what you are looking for, but take a look at it. http://www.virtualdub.org It doesn't have a lot of functions, i'm not sure if it's able to take 7+ gigs either. Valvus
Thanks for the tip. I have Virtualdub, but I haven't thought about using it in this capacity. I only used it to compress videos with different codecs. But on closer examination, it does have the clipping function. And it can surely handle large files, because one of its main functions it applying codecs to uncompressed files, which may be very large.

However, I don't need anything that complicated at this moment :)
Knux
Come on! Windows XP comes with a program designed for clipping videos and such. I've been using it for years! There's even a version two download from http://www.windowsupdate.com. Or go 'Tools > Windows Update' to get there.

How is it called?

No, it doesn't seem to be a part of Win2k. ME was multimedia-oriented, and Win2k is not. But anyway, I got my solution already.
