The Rescue

In the realm of endless land man can only imagine the vastness of sea for it seems no matter how far you travel you cannot find anything but city states that dot the landscape. In this fantasy land ancient myth and legend come alive as classical Romans, Guals and barbarians̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ battle, pillage, and attack each other. Although in the midst of all this chaos there is hope for life to flourish. For Men of all tribes and towns have come together to form alliances with each other. Although this new time will surly mark an era of even more epic warfare I do believe it is the start for peace. In this southwest region of this endless earth one forged alliance does prosper. Together five villages unite under one banner. Lead by the valiant Sullen people of the northern village this alliance will soon take shape as a leading force in the realm.

In the nights silence a band of Legionnaires march southward. Men of Valmorgan they were. Jingoism had sent them this far now thirst for battle leads them. They travel on the main roads for hours and finally get outside their destination. It is now an hour before midnight and the captain stops to give words of encouragement.

"Let us stand together tonight under the sky lights and take what is rightfully ours. We fight for our women, we fight for our children, we fight for Valmorgan! Remember soldiers first find slay the guards then pillage this city. We shall prosper with our loot within Valmorgan's walls before the rooster even wakes."

More was said but nothing was important. These legionnaires didn't need to be motivated. Their beliefs were adamant and hearts were set. Nothing should stand in the way of the Valmorgan's prosperity, especially the Grimmer's Village.

Through the state's southern forest the soldiers advanced. Taking all caution to stay stealthy even local beast did not stir from sleep. Nevertheless this tale shall turn for the worse now. Surly a scout of this village had seen the advancing troops. For with thirty short yards of the village's walls Grimm the Gaul himself accompanied by a band of soldiers and citizens waited.

Valmorgan's captain had went ahead and spotted the gauls but this came too late. Yells from behind the captain alerted the gauls who rushed quickly to their feet. The captain yards from the guals made haste back to his men only to discover half were we're caught in traps. The remaining men were already trying to free the captured.

"Leave them be Men! Quick hide amongst the woods," the captain speaks softly. Not a moment was spared and as soon as the remaining troops were out of sight the Guals appeared.

"Look what we got here," Grimm speaks to his men examining the captured Romans. "I guess we have to decide if we should do with these radicals."

"You need only to worry about your own life," a roman mumbles from his trap.

"What did yo-" With that Q the legionaries ambushed the ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâat ease̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ Guals.

Morning rays down on the royal town of Valmorgan and in the distant you here a rooster speak. At the gates two soldiers and the captain arrive.

Over the rolling hills of the realms endless landscape a messenger races north. Dew still beads the grasslands and the brisk winds rush at the lads back. The boost must have been a gift from the gods but this was not on the boy̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s mind. At last the messenger rests atop a hill after gazing over the Sullen metropolis.

Within Messina̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s embassy the messenger told everything the captain had said.

̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅYou waste our time boy; it is only five men that remain alive?̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

Interesting mix of information and story. I quite enjoyed it, minus the few spelling mistakes.

"Let us stand together tonight under the sky lights and take what is rightfully ours. We fight for are women, we fight for our children, we fight for Valmorgan! Remember soldiers first find slay the guards then pillage this city. We shall prosper with our loot within Valmorgan's walls before the rooster even wakes."

The story seems interesting if not somewhat similar to ancient Europe. I await the next installment.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.
