June 7, 200719 yr Attack a monster as far away from the door as possible, then run towards the door. This should give you an extra second to solve the puzzle. It's also possible to maneuver the attacker so that they are one diagonal square away, but that's a bit harder... just try the running from one end of the room to the other trick.
