I've build computers for many people and spent over $1500 building mine, because i was stupid and got the parts when they were best on the market. But I want to build my dad a computer, and his current one is 4 years old and about to putter out. I shop newegg because tigerdirect was nubby to me once. Tell me what you think about this: I'm not getting a video card, because i have one of my older ones that will still run any game on high flawlessly. Going cheap on power supplies makes your computer vulnerable to being fried and you'll probably end up replacing the power supply as it won't last as long from normal use as a good one. I'd consider this one. Has a 2 year warrenty, runs about $60 and has over voltage protection. Even if you have a surge protector, doesn't hurt as I've seen lightning go threw USB a power strip and fry the power supply. das1330 Posted June 21, 2007 Share Posted June 21, 2007 Not a bad build. I see no build problems. Even though that power supply is cheap, the reviews are not bad, so it seems like a good deal.
