It is an unstylish, unattractive, or socially inept person; especially : one slavishly devoted to intellectual or academic pursuits -MW online dictionary. Pretty much, who wouldn't be insulted if they were called one of these? Now, a "no lifer" is a different thing. It has no definite meaning, and all people define "no-lifer" by opinion. For example, person A may think a no-lifer is a person who plays all day and dosen't usually go outside to socialize. While person B on the otherhand, thinks a no-lifer is just someone who plays for let's say, 3 hours straight. It pretty much depends, but yeah, both IMO are equally insulting. I mean, how would you feel if someone called said "You have no friends!" or "Just leave him, he's a nerd". ^ Refresh for a new signature ^
