i`am doin the watch tower quest & i`ve got to bit where i enter the cave

 

with the blue dragons in , now i`ve tried usin the cave nightshade on the

 

big lumax outside but instead of lettin me in, all it say`s is that it burns &

 

promptly starts to kill me. Have i missed something or what ?
