September 24, 200718 yr I just got a Router so I can hook my 360 up. When I test the connection on my 360, it can't get an IP. I have them connected right now, and my computer is working fine, but the Router isn't. My Connection: Wall Cord goes into Modem Ethernet Cord connected to computer Standard Phone cord (Idk if this could be the problem) connceted to Router from Modem Ethernet Cord connecting my 360 to Router The Lights work on the Router, but I just can't connect to the internest through my 360. I'd appreciate all help.
September 24, 200718 yr Can you give us some information about your settings on both the router and the xbox?
September 24, 200718 yr Access your router setup. If you don't know how to do that look in the manual.
September 24, 200718 yr Uh, I had a bit of trouble understanding how you wired everything, so I'll just post the correct setup. Standard phone cord goes from the wall jack, into the modem. Ethernet cable goes from the modem, to the "in" port on your router. Seperate ethernet cables then go from the router, to your PC, and XBox 360.
