Pretty much I have a .avi video file on my computer (its a movie) and I want to burn it to a DVD disc and watch it on my DVD player downstairs. So I assume the DVD player won't play the .avi file (right - right??) so I need to convert the .avi file into a DVD file to play on my DVD player.

 

 

 

I've been searching around for a free one of these but haven't been able to find one. The best I've come up with is a free trail version of one which has a watermark over the top (which I'd prefer not to have to use).

 

 

 

So I'd really appreciate it if you guys could give us a link to a free program out there which is able to convert the .avi file for me. Anyone know of any? Any help would be appreciated.

i usually use total video converter to convert my videos, and i have the full version, but i'm not sure if it has the conversion for a dvd file...
