router and rune scape problem

OK ive got a belkin router model F5D7230-4 only problem is it don't like runescape causes 2-3 min lag after logging in were i cant attack/use items like food/use NPCs i know its the router as i tested a direct connection to the modem and the problem don't happen then just wondering if its a setting on the router or is it worth me buying a brand new one if so can any1 give me some recommendation's on a decent router that works fine with rune
