gimilos
I have only done the prologue so far but please comment. Constructive criticism is also very welcome :D A Rising whisper Prologue The moon peered out through one of the clouds lighting up the barron streets of Varrock. All that could be heard was the sniffing and scratching of stray dogs and the splashing of the fountains in the market place. All the shops and stores that were usually teaming with people had been boarded up for the night. The inns were unusually quiet tonight but Jepord was fine with that. Jepord was the market places night guard. He was tall and slender with long arms which were a little to big for his chain mail. He wore a medium size helmet and a long blue cape that cut off around his ankles. On the back of the cape was the the symbol of Misthalin, a green plant with vines in the sign of an 'X'. Jepord stood in the middle of the market place clasping his halberd in his right hand waiting for any signs of trouble. His warm breath crystallized in the air and his cape danced about his feet in the small breeze but he stood as still as a rock. Just as he did every night for the past two years. Must be near the end of my shift thought Jepord. As usual nothing has happened and I'm left here standing like a scare crow. There was a sudden distant thud that came from in side one of the buildings that made Jepord jump. Must of been a bloody dog thought Jepord. But he was wrong as from the same building someone screamed, "Someone help me! NOOOOOOO!" Immediately Jepord ran in the direction the scream had come from. It had come from the archery store. As soon as Jepord reached it he banged on the door shouting, "Open up, this is the night guard!" No one answered. He looked around to find an entrance ands saw that a window shutter had been forced open. Jepord hastily climbed though ripping his cape in the process. The room he entered was dark but his eyes soon adjusted. He was standing in front of an oak counter and surrounded by weapons cases filled with different bows. He looked around to find a wooden door that opened into a stairway. Jepord slowly crept up the stairs. They lead Jeprod to the stores living quarters were Jepord found he owner Lowe, sitting limp in an armchair. Jepord rushed towards Lowe but as he went to check for a pulse he froze. Lowe had been impaled to the chair with his own sword, his hand clutching the hilt. Lowe took a step back to take in what had happened when he saw an outspread note stuck to Lowes forehead. It read, "The sword of a traitors past will always catch up on him."
