golden bowl smithing technique

Featured Replies

I read in another post that people have suggested smelting and smithing golden bowls for smithing exp and than high alchemy them.

Does any one know where I can find out more about how well this works or can fill me in on it?

thanks

I am not entirely sure but I think Jagex updated so the bowl is not alch-able or be able to made after the quest. It was not a fantastic way of training anyway.

They haven't taken this out; I just smithed and high alched a few golden bowls as a test.

The only real use for it is if you high alch your gold bars; you can high alch a golden bowl (2 bars) for 420gp with 1 nat. So you only use half as many nats with bowls as you would with amulets or such.

I would suggest doing the Family Crest Quest and obtain the gauntlets and enchant them to the Gold Gauntlets. You get 3 times the amount of XP you normally would. This means you can smith whatever you normally would (something alch-able in this case or something you can use to make other things)

Or you could sell the gold bars. Either way best of luck to you.
