January 1, 200818 yr They pretty much are nowadays. You lose money training them and now you can easily buy all your potions, bows, and other end-products with GE anyways. The main motivators now are the Skill Capes. EDIT: Actually there are ways to make money, if you train them the sloooow way. For example, smelting ore and spinning flax. They make money, but the xp rate is really slow.
