it is wireless, both systems are xp, hooking it up to a wireless router and sometimes when i get it connected it stays for a week, sometimes only a few days, i don't know what is wrong with it

By you saying "it quits" Do you mean it just looses the signal temprorarilly, or do you mean that it just stops functioning all together permanently?
