Prologue: Death of a double O

The casino smelled of sweat and alcohol. At a poker table, eight people were being dealt by a dealer, wearing a vest embroidered with sequin, designed to look like playing cards. The dealer threw a pair of cards to a rather shady man, wearing a black suit, and a black bow tie. He was smooth in sweeping his cards towards himself and taking a small peek at them. The dealer dealt the last hand and set three cards on the table. A king of spades, a queen of spades, and a ace of hearts.

James Bond watched the other players carefully, surveying the looks in their eyes as they swiftly looked at their cards. Bond was careful not to allow them to see the content in his own eyes, as he stared across at the dealer.

James Bond was at the moment on vacation after a horrendous event, involving the Russian Mafia and an oil rig in the Atlantic Ocean. Bond was terribly beat up and his boss, M, a lady of unknown origin and background to anyone of her agents, gave Bond a week of vacation in Las Vegas.

James Bond was one of the last double O agents of the British MI6. He was codenamed 007 and usually did the most dangerous jobs for MI6. Saving the world countless times, while being no national hero at all, just being regarded by the Prime Minister. He was promised a Knighting when he retired from MI6, by the queen herself, but Bond did not know what would happen to the agency if he left.

Bond was so lost in thought that he had missed the dealers voice a couple times. Suddenly, back to reality, he threw down a couple blue plaques, representing a wager of two thousand dollars.

Before the person to the left of Bond could bet, a waiter walked up to Bond and handed him a letter. Bond thanked him and tore it open. Inside, was a note from M, about a sudden death in London. 001 was dead, and Bond was to attend the funeral, which was being held in twelve hours. Bond grabbed all of his plaques and walked toward the entrance hall. He cashed the plaques and made about seven hundred thousand dollars. Not bad.

Soon, Bond was on a flight to London, heading back to MI6.

A small meeting was being held and a small man walked into the meeting room, clasping his hands behind his back.

"SPECTRE must be restarted, must return to its former glory!" The short man said, sitting in a chair in front of everyone.

"How?" Asked a man in horn rimmed spectacles.

"We know that the biggest threat to the corporation is MI6 and James Bond. For this problem we have a new member."

A tall man walked in. His eyes were full of malice and hate.

"This is a brainwashed man I like to call Damage. He is powerful. Vicious. Ruthless. And also, was once a double O agent. He was taken by us yesterday and we faked his death. We then brain washed him over night and now he works for us, and may be our only hope to defeating 007. We must do this so the soul of the greatest leader of SPECTRE ever, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, may rest in peace, knowing that his greatest enemy is dead."

Can't find a good James Bond fan forum to put this on so might as well put it here.

Yay James Bond!

Anyway back on topic. it was a good start to what i presume will be a good story. The speech at the end was a tad cheesy and this line bothered me "A small meeting was being held and a small man walked into the meeting room,"

Too much small i suppose
