Fire Wave vs Slayer Dart

If I'm correct, Slayer Dart can hit high no matter what your attack bonus, but Fire Wave requires a high bonus to hit hard.

 

That's just a rumor. Slayer Dart is more accurate with higher mage bonus as well. People think Slayer Dart isn't effected by mage bonus because they hit fairly well on Barrow Brothers, but most of the brothers all have horrible mage defense, so you're going to hit alright even if you're in the negatives for mage bonus.

 

 

 

But since Fire Wave a requires higher magic level, I suppose it could be less accurate than Slayer Dart.

 

 

 

no, its not a rumor, i can hit just as effectively with slayer dart while my mage bonus is -50 as i can when it's at +112, and i've used easily over 20k slayer darts, on a lot of different monsters.

 

the only monsters i've found that slayer dart requires a magic bonus to hit effectively is dragons, which is kind of odd really. :-k

 

thus, i think slayer dart is better.

 

try using fire wave with -50 mage bonus on the same monsters you used slayer dart and you will see no difference.

 

magic dart is affected by mage bonus.
