Massive PS3 tech help problem (getting online)

Hi there. I recently bought a Playstation 3 about 2 weeks ago and I'm having trouble getting it to connect online.

I have NAT type 3 when I am able to connect. very important.

Anyhow, here is my setup:

 

 

 

Hughes Isp (we get internet via sattelite)

 

DW7000 Direcway Modem

 

WRT54G Linksys Wireless Router

 

 

 

I have wired the PS3 directly to the router via ethernet cable for stronger connection, but it makes no difference anyway.

 

 

 

So basically I'm asking this:

 

How can I change my NAT type from type 3 to Type 2?

 

 

 

List of things I have tried but have NOT worked:

 

1) Calling Sony Tech help, have done this 5 times. Nothing useful.

 

2) Called Hughes (the ISP) they said they cant do anything.

 

3) Called Linksys (I actually went in reverse progress talking to them :evil: )

 

4) Port forwarding AND Port triggering.

 

5) Putting the PS3 into DMZ (de-milaterized zone) of router.

 

6) Setting my WEP key and putting that into PS3.

 

 

 

If anyone can help me with my predicament, it would be greatly appreciated.

 

 

 

PS - The game I'm trying to get online is COD4 :mrgreen: really not liking not being able to play.
