Willows are worthless though, it's much better to use Rimmington where it's far less crowded, and selling to the general store. ~It's Super Effective! It's only 2.5m or so extra for a lot of saved time. Maples are worth it. 2) Still use Rimmington, except burn the logs after you cut a full load. You'll save time if you intend to both cut and burn willows anyway. ~It's Super Effective! At about 80 wc, it's still dead slow for me, and I'm using a d axe too. I would have to say NEVER for xp, but for cash it's still only like 70k-80k per hour. Gold at the crafting guild, tele to Fally to bank, Explorer Ring tele to get there quicker. I can manage 120k or so an hour, but I'm 86 mining. Competition isn't THAT fierce, but you may have to hop worlds a few times. ~It's Super Effective!
