Multiple Things at Once

I was trying to do the Haunted Mine Quest, and was fighting Treus Dayth. However, when both of us were at very low health, I decided to tele out. I clicked my Ectophial, and it started pouring on the ground. While it was pouring on the ground, my last shot hit him BIG(for me. Probably 12 damage or so.). However, I'm wondering whether I should prepare for another long fight, or whether this would have been enough to kill him. Like, would it carry over from me killing him?

 

Oh, and he started the death animation.

 

Haha, I just checked using the Quest Log and it asks me where I should use the key. Alright, case closed.
