How do I get to the rocks to mine the ore to make the bowl to get the Tears? It says that it is too steep for me to get up to the rocks.

IIRC, you have to use some lamp on those blue shiny things around the cavern.

 

I'm not sure though, I did the quest a while ago. Try looking at the tip.it quest guide.

Get a cut sapphire. Take out a bullseye lantern lens (do it someplace outside the cave so you won't get hurt if you don't have a second light source) and use the sapphire with the steel bullseye lantern frame. Use this lit sapphire lantern on the light creatures to get across.
