Is there any way other than the back to get into the castle, because no matter what I do, every single time I go into the castle, I am caught every single time I set foot in it. It is freaking impossible, any tips? Because I am starting to get extremely mad, this shouldn't be a hard quest -.-

When you first enter, as long as you don't step, you shouldn't be caught. Or do you mean climbing the trellis in the back into the castle itself? The guards move in proscribed patterns, it wasn't too hard for me to figure out.

Once you go up the testril or what not, dodge the first guard and hide behind the plant pot in the corner until the one in the hallway passes. I did it like 3 years ago, so uhm, i'm going off total memory, and i have short term memory.

The part I am having major problems with is getting through the hallway to the eastern room, I keep trying it....but when I waited too long in the hallway, a gaurd came around and teled me, as I ran to the eastern room, WHILE the other guy teled me at the same time, so no matter which way I go, I get caught.

Okay, I did this quest a week or so ago, and here's how I did it:

 

 

 

There are two guards patrolling the upper level (up the trellises). It helps to log in/out so that they are synchronized and not off as they will be if one catches you several times.

 

 

 

Go climb up the trellis. If they catch you there it's just bad luck, try again after counting slowly to 30. If you spin the camera so you see into the mansion and they're not out on the porch, run and stand next to the inner wall (to one side of the door) so that they can't spot you at an angle.

 

 

 

Wait for them to walk not just back out of the hallway, but back to the center room! After they're there, run to the bedroom, open the door, and run in and OFF TO ONE SIDE so that they don't see you when they return to the hallway.

 

 

 

Close the door. Catch the rats in there.

 

 

 

Wait for them to be back in the center room, then run across the hallway to the other door. Open it, go through, and OFF TO ONE SIDE so they can't spot you at the angle again. Once you can safely do so, shut the door and kill the rats.

 

 

 

To get to the kitchen (downstairs) be standing in the left-hand room when facing into the house (patio at the bottom of the screen). Wait for the guards to BOTH GO OUTSIDE ONTO THE PATIO (otherwise you'll be spotted, took me a while to realize this), then run south through the house into the room with the ladder down. You can relax in here and take the ladder down, it plops you into the kitchen with all the remaining rats.

Even when the guard is where the yellow spot is, which is the farthest part away from the little hallway unto the room with the ladder, I still get caught. It has happened every time.

 

 

 

Don't you get there from the top floor? Like, the ladder, you go down from the top floor i think.

 

 

 

Or try not playing in HD, might be server reaction times?

Oh, forgot about that! You can't run directly in front of the entranceway - you need to do a zigzag, up into that little alcove in front of the door then down to the door to the bedroom.
