December 29, 200817 yr Good morning/afternoon/evening welcome to my story, Priestess's Call. I have posted it in a forum; I am known as White Priest, but since it is not available here, I chose Centaur. I see that most of the stories here are non-Runescape based, thus, I decided to add a Runescape story. Maybe after this story, I might write a story that is non-runescape related. ~~~ Prologue: The young lady opened her eyes, she surveyed her surroundings. She was at a room with marble-tiled floors, white-painted walls made of fine granite. She knew two things; she is Atria and she is at a temple. She examined her clothes; she wore a gown suited for a priestess. Her gowns chest had a tiny, glittering yellow gem surrounded by rubies. She saw that at her waist was a belt made of true gold and was embroidered with small rubies. Her gowns skirt had a pattern of gold. She also wore a cape that many of us knew as the skillcape of prayer. She looked around, there were many vats, boxes, but something caught her eye, a large mirror. She looked in the mirror, for the first time, she noticed the hood she was wearing. Her hair was visible a little at her hood; it was long, silky, and hazel. Her hands were covered with her robes long, loosed sleeves; she raised them a little and saw her skin was smooth and soft. She really had an extremely beautiful face and body; she looked like a fifteen year old girl. She suddenly looked at her waist, a medium-sized, brown, leather pouch hanged at her golden belt. She silently opened the pouch and browsed it. She removed her hand from the pouch, a circular stone, with strange markings similar to a white ball, came out of her pouch. She saw other circular stones, which we call runes, but hers is different than anything (Her pouch contains unlimited unknown runes!). She held some of them tightly at her fist; she sensed that the runes will give her protection. She silently approached a ten-foot door made of fine yew. She pushed it with all her strength; the door gave a loud creak. In front of her was a garden and a river. The garden had many magic trees and golden flowers. She ignored all the plants and went to the river. The rivers waters were calm and heading towards the east. A shimmering light suddenly appeared before her, the light faded and a small, polished-oak gondola, with a white, four-pointed star in front, appeared before her. She silently stepped into the gondola and rowed it silently. A whitish portal appeared to the east and she disappeared together with the portal, leaving the temple of Saradomin, leaving her duty as the guardian of peace, leaving her memories, leaving towards the realm of Runescape. She knew naught that she had a duty The guardian of destruction also left his temple, both of them left their temples as the prophecy says ~~~ Chapter One: Atrias gondola rowed back and forth. Atria seemed confused as she entered the portal, the once beautiful garden and temple disappeared in her sight and the scene was replaced. She was at a river, at her front was a wooden bridge, and at her left was a village whose gates were made of cheap oak. She stopped near the bridge. Barbarians and adventurers started to approach her. She heard one of the adventurers or barbarians exclaimed, The guardian of peace, the priestess of Saradomin has come! She stepped out of the gondola; a shimmering light came out and the gondola disappeared. She turned her head towards them, she looked confused and frightened. Many of them offered her to stay at their homes. An old woman, whose age was about eighty, approached her. She coughed terribly and sadly said, Please stay at my home at Varrock, young priestess, I seek your attention and kindness to me Atria nodded silently; leavingt he adventurers shocked and sad. Atria silently followed her to the east of the wooden village. After an hour, they reached the town the old woman was saying. Varrock was a large, economically prosperous town in Runescape. The street was made up of cement and the walls of the gates and buildings were made of fine granite, otherwise, marble. Atria admired the merchants advertising their goods, the great, huge fountain that stood at the square, and the highly classed people wearing beautiful clothes and garments. The woman brought her at a shack just beside the General Store. Atria curiously saw how the people looked at her. Welcome to my home the old woman greeted, My name is Venicta, at your service your graciousness Grandmother Venicta, may I ask? Atria asked politely with a bow of respect. Oh my Saradomin, please dont bow to me! Venicta squeaked, terrified. I am the one who is supposed to kneel before you! My name is Atria, which is all I know. I do not know why I am shown with great respect at your realm she frowned, Ah Yes, the prophecy says that both guardians know not of what happened at their past Venicta sighed, After the God Wars, Zamorak and Saradomin created their powerful guardians, you are the guardian of peace, your archrival, the guardian of destruction has come to this world too The prophecy states that When thee guardians awake, lest you fear the destruction that Zamoraks hand does, and lest you joy the gift of peace Venicta added silently, You and the priest of Zamorak shall fight at the right time, once you win, peace will reign, but once the other guardian wins, we are doomed. I am sure that you will learn how to use your magic well But how do I do magic? Atria curiously asked, It is easy child, smash two or three or four runes and a spell will form at your hands, and release it the old woman explained. What will happen after the fight? Atria asked, I know not, no one knows Venicta frowned, The guards of Varrock and White Knights of Falador will come here tomorrow for your guidance What are White Knights of Falador? Atria silently questioned, They are a Holy Order of Saradomin, protectors of peace Venicta let out another terrible cough and blood spluttered at the floor. Whats your disease? she asked pitifully, I was cursed by a witch, I am cursed to die slowly and painfully Venicta frowned as she coughed blood again. Atria looked around her; she suddenly saw another medium-sized, brown, leather pouch just beside her rune pouch. She opened it and saw it was filled with tiny, fourteen bottles containing blue liquids. She took out one and examined it, I think this would cure you she said; something was saying her in her mind that it was an Elixir. My goodness! An elixir, it can cure any disease even curses! I thought it was all a legend that Elixirs exist! Venicta exclaimed in disbelief. Venicta took the Elixir, opened the golden cover and gulped it. She shivered slightly and let out a cough, a worm of blood came out, Venicta stamped it with her slippers. T-The c-curse has been lifted! she cried, Atria bowed to her. T-Thank y-you! Venicta thanked. Atria yawned adfter the old woman wiped her tears. You can sleep at my bed Venicta offered kindly, You seemed to be tired Thank you very much Atria politely thanked and headed towards the room of the lady. She was about to lie down when she remembered that elder people should be shown great respect. She took a pillow and slept at the floor silently, unknowing what adventures awaits behind her dreams. ~~~ Chapter Two: Atria heard a sobbing voice and an angry, young voice. How dare you to let the guardian sleep at the floor! an unfamiliar voice angrily yelled, I-I d-did not l-let her s-sleep at the f-floor a familiar, female voice sobbed terribly. Atria stood up, the sob of Venicta and the yelling of the stranger stopped. She rubbed her eyes and approached the door of the shack. Venicta hurriedly dashed towards the back of Atria and hugged her, frightened and terrified. Atria looked sternly at the stranger. The stranger was a seventeen year-old white knight, young and handsome. The white knight wore a white armor trimmed with gold and held his golden helmet at his right hands. At the back of him was a group of white knights, wearing white armor with no trims of gold. The stranger had deep blue eyes, fair skin, muscular body, and jet-black hair. What is your name? Atria asked sternly, Kristach, the lieutenant of the White Knights Order, Milady the white knight politely introduced as he bowed his head. Well, how dare you Kristach to hurt an old lady without respect! Atria angrily yelled, She treated you like an animal, she let you slept at the floor the whole night Kristach apologetically said. I was the one who wanted to sleep at the floor, she is old and weak she answered back. Your apologies Milady he apologized, We are here to bring you to Falador for your protection I will join you if-Atria began as she looked at Venicta, If you let Grandmother Venicta come with us Why? one of the white knights interrupted, Because I want, let her come and I will go to Falador she yelled, As you wish Kristach said and menacingly looked at the white knight who interrupted. Please follow They followed the white knights and they were brought into the town square. A chariot, with two white horses, was in the middle, Please step inside Kristach commanded kindly as he opened the door of the chariot. Venicta, Atria and Kristach entered the chariot and a white knight closed the door. The white knights were in front of the chariot, they started to march, so does the chariot. A few hours later, the group reached the front of the dwarves mountain; the white knights heightened their senses, as if looking for something. What are they looking for? Atria mumbled, before Kristach could answer, there was a loud thud and explosion. Theres the answer Zamorakians he sighed, he went out of the chariot. Atria and the old woman ducked in the lower part of the chariot as an arrow flew past of them. Atria went immediately outside the chariot, she was shocked and astonished to see that half of the White Knights were destroyed and hundreds of cannons were blasted at the mountain of the dwarves. She took out few runes out of her pouch and smashed they together, white shimmering, light burst in her hands. She gracefully controlled it with bare hands, she released at one of her Zamorakian foe. The Zamorakian burst into wisps of ashes and turned to nothing. She took out other unfamiliar runes, she smashed them and the large and small rocks around her started to float and do her will. She gracefully threw one of the rocks at her pursuing enemy, sending him kilometers away. She smashed other runes again, but this time it was light again. A foe punched her at the back; she recovered quickly and threw the ball of light at her enemy. Retreat! the Zamorakian captain, who was fighting Kristach, ordered, scared of Atrias wrath. Cowards! Kristach yelled at his teleporting enemy. We are safe; we must hurry to Falador and report to Sir Vallance immediately The chariot, once again, rode in the dusty streets, leaving and going towards the great, white city of Falador.
December 29, 200817 yr Author Chapter Three: The sky above them started to turn dark, heavy raindrops started to fall. The once dry soil became muddy. The chariot silently moved towards the gate of Falador. Atria adored the white gates, it was large and fantastic. Hundreds of merchants started to run and dry themselves at a bar. Atria, Kristach, and Venicta crossed the white bridge together with the other white knights that were soaked in water. Form a line and dry yourselves inside the palace he commanded at the panting troop. Atrias robes were dry, so did Venicta and Kristach. They all entered the palace. The palace was not like Varrock, the floor was made of only cement. Atria shivered because of the cold weather. They climbed three staircases, bringing them to the 2nd floor. Welcome a female servant greeted as they entered the 2nd floor. May I speak to Sir Vallance he politely asked, the maid nodded. Atria and Venicta followed him as they were brought into a normal oak door. Kristach knocked nervously, the door swung open. A man about thirty five stood in front of him. The man wore white armor similar to Kristach. Atria examined the man, handsome at that age, golden eyes, fair skin, and jet-black hair. So you must be the priestess! the stranger smiled at Atria, excited. I am she agreed, Welcome to our castle. Make yourself home the stranger greeted, Oh my apologies, my name is Vallance. Leader and General of the White Knight My name is Atria, guardian and a priestess she introduced kindly, This is Venicta, Atrias guardian Kristach introduced Venicta. Good. Child do you know your mission? Vallance politely questioned, I know it Atria answered with a faint smile. Vallance gestured them to come in, they entered, and the room was small and only had two furnitures. The bed was the only thing in the room that was luxurious, it was large and made of cotton; the pillows were soft and fluffy. The bed sheet was color royal-red, symbolizing the royalty and strength of Falador. The next furniture was a cupboard made of fine yew. I forgot to give you the weapon of yours! Vallance exclaimed regretfully with a slap at his face. He silently clutched a key made of bronze and approached the cupboard. He inserted the key at the keyhole and there was a loud Click! And the cupboard opened. He took out a small staff made of white metal that seemed to be heavy. The staff was light even though it was made of strange white metal. The staffs handle was decorated with gold; at the tip of the staff was a large, pale, yellow gem that glowed faintly as the skin of Atria touched it. She felt a strange, uncomfortable, powerful power surging in her veins and blood. The land beneath her heaved and there was pure silence, an eerie and deep silence She lost consciousness. ~~~ Chapter Four: The suns rays struck the closed eyes of Atria; Atria was sleeping at a bed beside the door. She opened her eyes, she felt weak and uncomfortable. She stood up; she felt her feet were numb. She saw that her priestess gown was changed into a hospital gown, and she felt a bandage at her head. She looked at her surroundings; she saw Kristach lying on the bed, unconscious and a bandage on his head. She also saw Venicta who was moaning in pain and bleeding badly, and a nurse trying to put some leaves at her wounds. Youre already awake, Your Graciousness the nurse smiled weakly, What happened? she asked as she felt a strange pain at her head. There was an explosion yesterday at the palace the nurse frowned, The three of you survived, but Sir Vallance did not W-Who did t-that? she asked sadly, almost sobbing. The Zamorakians the nurse replied silently, and then there was a soft moan from Kristach. He is awake! Kristach opened his eyes. He could see blurred image of Atria and it went clear. I see that you are awake he groaned, You must p-proceed to t-the monas-monastery northeast of this c-city Why? How about you and Venicta? she asked, We will be alright he mumbled and moaned once again, Go and seek their guidance in finding the-in finding the With a silent thud, he fainted. She sighed sadly and stood up and looked at the nurse. Could I get my staff and robes? she asked, Yes Milady, let me just remove the bandage at your head the nurse said politely, After an hour, Atria successfully wore her robes and wielded her strange staff; she held the staff tightly with two hands. She started walking, walking towards northeast. She looked at her surroundings, making sure that no Zamorakians were looking at her. She traveled slowly. She thought she saw red eyes peering at the Black Knights castle. She said to herself that it was her imagination, little did she know that it wasnt. ---Meanwhile--- An old man wearing red robes glared menacingly at the treasures that was in the treasury of the Black Knights castle. The old man wore blood-red robes, and a belt made of silver embroidered with onyx. The old man also wore a red hood that covered his long, silvery hair, but his long and silver beard was seen. His skillcape of attack gently swung every step he took. His name is Aberfotch, guardian of destruction, priest of Zamorak. He knew from the first time he exited the Abyss that he had an enemy, the priestess of Saradomin. He sighed silently as a black knight asked him to eat at the dinner table. He immediately went at the dinner table and saw the witch, and the Black Knight General, Gendulum, eating at the table. Youre Evilness, please eat and enjoy the cuisine the witch invited Thank You Aberfotch thanked but he suddenly turned his head at the window that was at his right. He looked outside, a young, red-haired lady wearing priestess gown walked silently at the road, carrying a staff that contained immense power. The Priestess of Saradomin Aberfotch smirked; the witch and Gendulum flinched violently as they heard it. Is she attacking us?! Gendulum violently said, scared. No, she is going to the monastery to ask the monks about the relics he whispered, Prepare the Black Knights, we will attack the monks before she could even reach it! We will also destroy the Rhythm of Nature for the demons of the Abyss Yes, yes Gendulum muttered, unsure if victory was theirs. He hurriedly left the room and prepared his troops for an attack. Atria never knew what was happening ~~~ Chapter Five: Brother Jered and the other monks started to run furiously like mad men in their monastery. He hurriedly went to the altar; he panicky searched the altar and found a small, white gem in the form of a star just under the silky cloth of the altar. He heard screaming shouts of monks that fell silent. Brother Jered hurriedly went to a bed, but he fell to the ground as a hand grabbed him at his skillcape. He turned his head towards the pursuer; it was Aberfotch wearing a menacing smile. Ah So you have the Rhythm of Nature Aberfotch said menacingly as he formed black fire at his hands with runes. Thank you, I wouldnt bother finding it I wont let you have it! Brother Jered yelled; Aberfotch released the spell, but before the spell could hit Brother Jered, he muttered, Protectus Mahika! A whitish, magical barrier suddenly blocked the flaming spell and Brother Jered felt pain as the black fire dispersed as it hit the barrier. Brilliant Aberfotch smiled menacingly, Your prayers would protect you for a while, but it will worn out Sure enough, after a few seconds the barrier dispersed. Now hand the gem! he commanded angrily, Never! Brother Jered moaned, but with one telekinetic grab, the gem was caught. Aberfotch threw at the floor, and stamped it hardly; the gem shattered into tiny pieces. Brother Jered screamed as the gems pieces fell silently to the floor. Pitiful Aberfotch sighed as he formed another black fire and instantly released it at Brother Jered. Brother Jered screamed and flinched violently as the black fire engulfed his body and garments. He teleported and was gone. Brother Jered whispered painfully, Protectus Mahika The white barrier came out of his body and the fire dispersed, so did the barrier. His body wasnt burned; it was covered with black spots and dust. I still have seconds he muttered and took out a quill and a parchment. He wrote: The Rhythm of Nature is destroyed Must warn Entrana Relics must be obtained by the priestess He tightly held it in his fists and died painfully, blood came out of his nose, mouth, and ears, leaving him swimming in his own pool of blood. ---After an hour--- Atria came nearer and nearer to the monastery, she felt a strange and uncomfortable aura covering the skies above a hill at the wilderness, just northeast of her spot. She entered; she was shocked and bewildered to see blood on the fertile soil and grass, corpses of monks lying on the floor, dead. Atria walked involuntarily, she saw every corpse was killed with a sword, except for one, a monk wearing a cape similar to hers. She looked at his body, burned and blood coming out of his nose, mouth and ears. She was about to leave in failure when she noticed a piece of parchment that was tightly clutched at the monks fists. She read it: The Rhythm of Nature is destroyed Must warn Entrana Relics must be obtained by the priestess She seemed confused, what relics? What is Rhythm of Nature? What is Entrana? All of these questions flooded in her mind. I know not what has happened to Runescape
December 29, 200817 yr It was alright, some parts were just really badly written... Retreat! the Zamorakian captain, who was fighting Kristach, ordered, scared of Atrias wrath. This one just doesn't work for me... Also, your use of commas needs to tone down a bit...some commas don't need to be where they are... And the whole first paragraph is not exactly true...there are a lot of Runescape stories, but with all the new people adding stories, they are thrown back a couple pages. And a lot of us don't play Runescape anymore to, so that could be another reason...(I don't play it anymore...)
December 29, 200817 yr She seemed confused, what relics? What is Rhythm of Nature? What is Entrana? All of these questions flooded in her mind. I know not what has happened to Runescape The first comma should be a period... Also, when she thinks, she should do it in Italics, it really interrupts the flow sometimes...
December 29, 200817 yr Well sorry; I'll be changing the mistakes maybe tomorrow. Its alright man, we all screw up, its just that constructive criticism helps you get better.
