January 24, 200917 yr I've been writing this on the Vampire Hunter D forum and thought I would share it with you. Based on a series of 11 books in America, 20 in Japan, that focus on half human, half vampire named D, who is a Vampire Hunter. He's the son of Dracula. Itsw based in the year 12,090 A.D. In 1999 humans killed each other with nukes, and the survivors ended up either being vampires, or normal humans. The vampires thrived on these humans, but thousands of years later war broke out and killed most of them. Now there are only a couple left. The story takes place on teh Frontier, a apocalyptic version of America. D also has a face in his left palm that talks to him and can eat things, suck things up, and bring him back to life after D gets staked through the heart. There has never been much explanation in the books about anything pertaining to the countenanced carbuncle, nor much about D's past... Book 12 comes out in March...I'm so excited.... So heres my fan fic! Chapter 1: The other dhampir I. The village was in an uproar. People screamed as unseen entities attacked. They slit the throats of everyone. People had nowhere to run, and no place to hide. The demons would find and kill them. Most people stood waiting for their death, others used weapons and swiped at the air, trying to contact the entitites. Sherry screamed. She had lived on the frontier all her life and had never heard of an entity that could enter a village and kill them all without even showing itself. Her dress billowed out behind her as she ran down the main street, screaming. Blood of her friends and family stained her wedding dress. She was so sad. Her tears fell into the puddles of blood below her, and rippled in the thick red stuff. Help, anyone! She said in her head. I am here... She heard the voice instantly, a soothing voice. It held no emotion. Who are you, can you read my thought? She asked back. No, your sending them to me.The voice said back. Suddenly, she heard a horse gallop down the road. The cyborg horse looked like it'd seen better days, but it still continued down the street without any rattling of cogs or gears, like it was brand new. On top of it sat the most beautiful man she had ever seen. He wore a travellers hat, his black hair falling out under it. He had a strange aura, like she had never felt. "Hide." He said. With that word, the girl ran to his horse. "Are you the man I talked to?" She asked. The man nodded. "Who are...AUGH!" She screamed as a large shadow came at her. She fell to the ground, but the monster never touched her. There was a flash of silver, and the shadow was bisected. The carcass dissipated into a fog. She got up, and noticed she had fell into a puddle of blood. "Damn, this dress cost a lot." She muttered. The man stared straight forward, his curved sword in his right hand. In a rare moment, D asked "You were getting married?" Sherry nodded. "Then, these things came." Tears coursed down her cheeks. "The bastards killed him!" The man nodded. "Who are you anyway?" Sherry asked. "D." The man replied, continuing to stare ahead. His voice conveyed no emotion. He was an odd man. "D? The legendary Vampire Hunter?" She asked in awe. "Got quite a reputation don't you?" A voice said coming from D's left hand. D clenched his fist. "What was that?" Sherry asked. D shook his head. He then galloped forward. Sherry followed. "Can I come with you?" She asked. "I'm a hunter. I'll need money if I am to be your bodyguard." He said. "I've got some. I could pay you once this is over." D nodded. He then jumped off his horse and parried an attack that came out of nowhere. Suddenly, a man appeared. Not a man, a noble. Not a noble...it was something else... Sherry hid behind the cyborg horse as D jumped ten feet back and watched the man before him. "D? I've heard of you. How fortunate, we will rid this city of its people, and we will also rid the city of the greatest nuisance to our operations." "I think he's a dhampir...a wierd one..." Said the voice from D's left hand. Only D heard it this time. "Prepare to die like all the people here D!" D watched the man run towards him. He then parried an upwards swipe and threw four wooden needles at the mans heart. The man cut all four of them in half in midair. "Have you ever faced another dhampir D?" The man asked. D's face remained without emotion.
