I bought a headset with a mic the other day because my old pair broke. My new pair is almost identical to my old pair but the mic picks up alot of garbage rendering it useless. does anyone know what could be causing all the garbage?

 

 

 

Also the headset doesn't disable my speakers when they're plugged in. So if I accidentaly leave my speakers on while playing a game with my headphones everyone else in the room can hear it. This isn't as important as my first issue but still annoying. does anyone have any info on this problem thanks.
