How to make a sig and avatar

I'm a bit new, the FAQ is a bit unclear about how to make it. Help?

What exactly do you need help with? Do you need to learn how to edit your signature and upload an avatar? Or do you want to know how to make graphics to put in your signature and avatar?

 

 

 

To edit your signature, go to your User Control Panel (there should be a link at the top of the page). Click on the Profile option and then select edit signature. You should see a text box similar to the one you see when you create a new post. You may put text and/or images here. For instructions on how to post an image, read the following guide: How-To Guide: Taking Screenshots and Posting Images. Just skip down to the section on posting images.

 

 

 

To edit your avatar, follow the same steps as mentioned above, but instead of clicking "edit signature," select edit avatar. You may then post the URL of an image in the box provided.

 

 

 

But remember, you have to abide by the signature and avatar rules and limitations as described in the Tip.it Forum Rules:

 

 

 

2.4 - Signatures and Avatars

 

• Forum Signature Limits are 450 pixels wide by 200 pixels high by 100Kb file size. There is no limit on pictures, as long as the total width/height/file size does not exceed 450 x 200 x 100Kb. Avatar limits are 100 pixels wide by 100 pixels high, by 20Kb file size. "Images in hide tags are still subject to our size restrictions." The TOTAL SIZE of all your signatures has to remain within the rules. It is allowable to use a small amount of text as well as pictures, however please be respectful to other users and limit the amount. Please also remember that use of any sound, java script, or iframe is prohibited. Poke'plushies are now limited to only ONE in signatures. Excessive use of blood and gore is not acceptable and is determined on a case-by-case basis. However, the board Administrators reserve the right for final authorization and may approve, request you to change, or outright remove any image or text regardless of size if it's deemed inappropriate.
