Barrows Question

I would like to try using an Ancients method ( ice blitz) but i don't have 82 mage for it yet, i have 79, would it be a realistic option to use mage potions to raise my mage level well above that to use ice blitz?

 

 

 

ahrims for mage armor, black d hides + crystal bow (maybe?), and a d scimmy and [bleep]e sheild with the d hides for melee and running through the tunnels.

 

(Barrows gloves, fury, white boots, mage arena cape, and just wearing ahrims hood the whole time.)

 

 

 

or should i switch in unholy symbol for fury?
